    Norhing new. Same game play for the past 5 years with no new ball dynamic when the ball is hit, so predictable.
    Removing collections from live series divisions, equipment, and perks is joke. Card art is the only improvement year to year.

    Were you expecting them to replace the ball physics with Happy Fun Ball?

    @SaveFarris Great video. how many years have we seen the same animation though? you know where the ball is going when it is hit. No depth to this game.

    Do you say the same about when a new MLB season starts, Oh its just the 2023 seasons DLC. The can't really reinvent the wheel here. I am not saying that content couldn't use a bit of an update but I also don't know what else could be done here

    @CDNMoneyMaker93 they subtracted from us. Live series collections gave you a division player. For collecting the NL and AL you got 99's. I would like a change in gameplay overall. I get that its difficult to do year to year but its been years since they did so. We are on next gen system for alot of us. Wheres the innovation?

    @DEF266 Shouldn't we know where the ball is going when it is hit? Even when I was in Little League I knew where the ball was going as soon as it had left the bat. I expect any ballplayer to know where the ball is going once it is hit as that is a big requirement of fielding and these video game characters are portraying real life professional ballplayers, so they should know where the ball is going as it leaves the bat. At which point did you expect the fielder to know where the ball was going after it was hit?

    How many different ways can they make someone throwing a ball or swinging a bat?

    @Easy_Duhz_It_
    I think he may be referring to hit types. There is simply not enough realistic physics in the hitting engine to allow for real world hit types. There should be more slicers, choppers, high bouncers, slow rollers, bloopers, etc.

    For example, getting jammed up an in on a fast ball and completely missing it with the PCI, should not equal a 300 ft pop up that stays in the air for 5 minutes giving the outfielder enough time to run (in The Matrix-style slow motion) from the warning track to catch it!

    @SaveFarris

    The ball physics in MLB the show are not great. Additionally, the swing feedback rarely matches what the correct ball physics should be and results in the same old boring hit types we have had for years.

    I’ve preordered the game for quite a few years. This will absolutely be the last time I buy it unless it is more than cut and paste. I feel like I’m playing the same game every year. I sucked into it again this year when they mentioned new animations. It’s just not very noticeable. I’m also just not a fan of the way season collections, season eligibility, and even the same old team affinity stuff. Also each year we are getting less and less xp for just playing games. Just getting old and tedious. Nothing special at all. Unfortunately I’ve already spent hundreds of dollars again this year.

    I couldn’t agree more. I feel they really needed to change the online modes or add a new one. They missed a huge opportunity with not fixing co-op! No pxp or even bigger for me no stats? Really why no stats in co-op? Makes no sense…

    "What more could they do?" The list is huge.

    Let's start with making a version that takes advantage of the series X and ps5, like 2k does.

    Baseball is overflowing with history. How about team moments from inception to present day that unlock classic uniforms?

    In fact, each team should have more than double the number of throwbacks/alternates. The new Cubs, Tigers, and Orioles unis are great, but drops in an ocean.

    How about a trophy room a la NCAA football?

    How about video tutorials a la NCAA 04, et al.?

    How about a revamped and updated binder system that's pleasing to browse through? And that doesn't kick you back to the top every time you exit out of a card?

    How about putting any substantive work into franchise mode?

    I don't know...what more COULD they do?

    So, although we might hate to admit it...it's not unreasonable to call this high-priced DLC.

    With OP’s train of thought this will go down as the best DLC in gaming history. Move over Gay Tony we have a new champ. GTA you had a good run with the DLC championship
