Where is the Hype?

@GoozeFn agreed, its the same with negro leagues granted added more players yet i knew this would come they give you piece be piece year by year, and the same with Jeter youll replay key moments in his career. NO mention or RTTS being overhauled, Nothing new about commentary, or AI, i have no intent to buy this years game. I have every Show game since 08 so this is a tough one but still the only thing next gen is 4k hdr graphics...

In the tiny little clip before the stream you can see that the players have realistic hair now. That’s new.

What do you all think of anything will be new or interesting about this game?
These jerseys or we riot:

@GoozeFn
Exactly. Sorry I meant, where is the Hype from SDS? Not us haha. I’m right with you, we know basically nothing yet.

They have certainly been light in the information department this year. I find it hard to believe that they would pick this week, the first full week of spring training games, to go silent. Maybe we get the yearly IGN preview or some other outlet releasing info?

3 weeks out and all we know is the cover athlete and some info on Storylines. And no new info till next week?
I’ll be playing, it’s the only game I play and my online subscription auto renewed for the year.

Thought you said you were going to wait until the postseason to buy it?
What changed your mind?

@Ericulous1_PSN bought because I bought. I'm an influencer.

Well it's going to be MLB 23.2 so if you loved MLB 23, get hype!
-
@X-FREEZE-OFF-X
My subscription to PS online auto renewed. I might as well since I don’t play anything else.
Of course I could just learn to play something else.
And cause @arvcpa_MLBTS did a cool MLBTS dance on Tik Tok and I’m sold!!!!

Unless they are playing coy and are going to wow people out of nowhere, it seems they pulled a Mets and punted on the season with NCAA making a return likely sinking them earlier than usual. I plan on getting the game regardless because it's honestly the only game I look forward to year after year because I love baseball. But I didn't even play a moment of the Negro Leagues last year and I don't see that changing this year. I'm a huge Yankees fan and I don't even care much for the Jeter storyline. They better let Paul O'Neill kick the ball from RF though haha
-
@biscodisco NCAA would not be why. These games are independent of each other— unless you're FC & NHL and using the same staff. MLB is not looking at NBA or NFL as direct competition
It's likely console limitations and hopefully a greater focus towards actually utilizing next generation to it's fullest capacity for MLB 25.
Unless Sony has thrown in the towel and accepted becoming EA 3.0, which means we are all screwed

@AfterShockGamer An NCAA game, whatever that is, is probably pretty low on the list of things that might hurt this game. I also don’t get the constant complaining about this game being on last gen. They’ve already made current gen improvements with graphics, stadium creator, speed that the last gen doesn’t have. What specifically is holding them back by staying on last gen? It seems like an assumption people are making that can’t actually be articulated specifically. My guess is, most people still play on last gen. We want people to play the game right?

The end of the blog said the check here on Thursday,I'm wondering if they are doing something this week after all.
