Created Stadiums with high (5,000+ft) elevations, low outfield walls, or are just plain cheese.

Just played a ranked game at Costco … That should not happen … My opponent quit in the 4th … What a disgrace … honestly I cannot believe this exists … @CBrev47 Please give this feedback to the devs …
EDIT: Of course he had JohnnyD on the mound. The definition of cheese in one game
-
@YOSHI24 enough with the disgrace agenda, its baseball pixels on a screen, its a video game, if you want a baseball sim to play like a sim play franchise, ranked/eve nts/br is and always will be built around the homerun ball kind of like how real baseball is today. So enough with "omg please save us, this is such a shame" nonsense.

But Br0, hOw aRe strEAMers gonNA sC0rE 30 rUNS a GAEm?

Accepted, but that is my feedback, which is not directed at you (if you could interprete the @ correctly) … And: You are wrong. Think about your last post … maybe just more than 1 second
EDIT: You already disqualified from the argument the moment you said that Shield Woods is no problem

My first created stadium was one of those smallest dimensions possible(I only play offline) and it lasted all of about 5 games before I created a 2nd with 300/365/400 dimensions cause the small park was homer or single nothing else, speed guys were useless cause even the hardest gap shots were easy throw outs at 2nd and 1st to 3rd and scoring from second were impossible too with it so short, taking away more than half the game/strategy for a few extra homers per game just wasn't worth it to me.
created should use the MLB minimum distances for ballparks, there should be a few weird/short parks (for variety) but not available for created. -

I like pitching so I made my outfield big as possible and used the actual level of the city I’m located in which is only 135. I get a ton of extra basehits and enough homeruns with players who should hit them like Ruth and Mays.
-
I don’t play at Costco but my created stadium is probably 325 corners and 400 centre with 80% max elevation with highish walls.
I want to play and score runs. I don’t want to play a 2-1 close game. I would rather lose 14-12. So sue me. It’s a video game. And at least the created stadiums play smoothly on the most part.
-
My last 5 games have scores of…
6-2, 5-1, 5-0, 9-0, 6-0
I have such a stacked team now I’d have to actively try and have a 2-1 score.
I have some stadiums for high scoring (big PXP games) like The Sandlot.

@YOSHI24 stop trying to tell people how to play, People will play at high elevation stadiums, should the Rockies leave Colorado ? Its a video game, if you want realism go outside and play baseball, user input should matter, higher elevated stadiums make user input matter more.
-
I sometime play in custom stadiums during events. Cause why not. BR and RS though I prefer Arizona tbh.
-
@LIONED-33 Dont let this dude tell you you're wrong for playing in elevated stadiums. Play where you want to play, if people think its cheesy then thats on them, if you can outhit someone in a mlb stadium, you'll probably beat them in a elevated stadium as well.

See and thats were you lose it … It is not about Coors … It’s about the stupid fields like Costco/Shield/Capital Lane … Higher elevation makes worse pci still matter. The problem is not good/Great input, the problem is bad input that still matters … and delivers 80mph-/off-pci-HRs on a regular basis … but I tried to explain it but you will not get, which is fine to me … Maybe you get it this time (there is hope left)

To be straight: That is totally fine … They put it in, you use it.
I complain, because it does not make sense … They nerfed shippet from 21 to 22 … and put in loughing mountain in 22 … just to put some crazy Capital Lane/Shield Woods in the game. Why nerf shippet in the first place? That simply does not make sense at all.

@YOSHI24 laughing mountain has been in the game since 17.

@YOSHI24 the only thing that stinks about high elevated stadiums is you'll give up some whack homeruns, but those in my opinion even out, if you are a good hitter you want to play at stadiums that may favor hitting, costco i agree, the 270 foot fields shouldnt be in online play. Honestly they should just make elevation a non factor(disable it), and add an option to play without fans in MLB stadiums. My biggest gripe is input lag in mlb parks.
-
@chucky97___ oh trust me his opinion means nothing to me. But a moonshot is for hitting bombs and that’s what I want to do. Tomorrow he’ll have a complaint about something else.

Started in 21
… looks like shippet was the one everybody used in 21 „to make swings matter“ … and nobody did loughingmountain then.
If I am right, they lowered elevation at shippet by 1000 ft. -

Great post (finally). Let’s agree that we disagree.
I don‘t think it evens out at least if you compare to good playing parks and that does not include pro parks imo (too often perfect-perfects die at the wall hit by the Babe).
I like elevation tho … Coors should be more Homer-friendly than say Dodger Stadium … That is realistic. Too many created max elevation stadiums are not (see thread title)

If you want one to grind on try the old Tiger stadium at high altitude. Every fly ball ends up in the upper deck. I would prefer a much more realistic version of old Tiger stadium myself.
