No. Burnes will be a Brewer until first update. Ohtani was a Free Agent. We'll have to wait and see
No, we won't.
On release last year...
Correa was a Twin
Eovaldi was a Ranger
Abreu was an Astro
Turner was a Phillie
Xander was a Padre
Benintendi was a White Sock
Rodon was a Photoshopped YankeeAll the roster moves that are made prior to 3/13/2024 (save for rookies who haven't submitted MLBPA paperwork) will be in the game when it launches.
-
Ohtani will definitely be on the Dodgers as a DH when the game releases. You can bet all of your bitcoin on that. In addition, I think both he and Trout will be the gatekeepers of the NL & AL LS collections.
-
Juan Soto
Tatis Jr.
Acuna
Trout
Ohtani -

Yeah. After doing some research I believe they'll have Ohtani in the game. But I think he'll be a DH only. I don't think they'll give him secondary positions off the start.
I'm still holding onto my prediction that Yamamoto won't be in until the first update.

What's to stop them from giving him OF as secondary? There's no reason not to. He probably won't play the OF at the beginning of the season, but that's no reason why SDS can't put it on his LS card.
Why do you think Yamamoto won't be in the game on release? He already has a Topps card in a Dodger uniform.

@raesONE- I'm going to say Mookie edges out Seager, stubs-wise.
-
Wait, wait wait. You're getting off track, people. @raesONE-_PSN and @TheGoaler_PSN are the only two who have completed the rubric (I get 10 points for vocabulary). I'll say:
Trout
Ohtani
Betts
Acuna
Judge -

You're right, I'm sorry. I got carried away.

Trout
E. Diaz
Betts

Was thinking that at first, but then I realized how good Seager was in the postseason and his role in the WS run for the Rangers.
-
Acuna
Ohtani (assuming SP status retained)
Judge
Trout
Diaz (for the LOLs) -

He might be listed as an OF vs a DH. That’s what he was in 2019 when he had TJS and they removed SP from him but it was after one of the roster updates. He was a SP at launch.

The very second he signed his contract he was in the MLBPA. That has nothing to do with this game having his NIL. Did they retain his rights from last year is the questions?
Edit: Last year = 2023

Yamamoto will be there absolutely no question there’s no way they’d drop the ball that badly. Just glancing at his last few years stats in Japan lol they’ll have to blur some lines or he’ll be absolutely unhittable

Not as far as I know.
How many MLB games has Zac Veen played in? He’s in the game.

I still say they have to play in an ACTUAL MLB game BEFORE they can be put into thr LS roster.
Let's go with last year.
Masataka Yoshida. MLB debut was Mar 30. Wasn't in the LS Collection until the first or second update.
Kodak Senga. MLB Debut was April 2. Wasn't in the LS Collection until the second or third update.
And I think they both had a TN card before an LS card.
Yes, Yamamoto Yoshida will be a huge, and possibly expensive (for his rating) card; but I don't ser them adding him until he plays ay least one MLB game.

Also, if you're talking about his FS card from this year, can't remember if he had an LS last year, that's different. That's a made up card. That's different than having an LS, or even a regular FB, card.
If you notice; all cards other than the ones SDS 'make up' are modeled after that year's Topps card.
Ex: all the cards, of the players, in the Rookie Series, are modeled after that year's Topps design.
Jacob Degrom 2014 Topps Update
IF, and that's a big IF, they have Yoshida Yamamoto in the LS Collection, release day, chances are he won't have an actual photo and would just be a black silhouette.
But I do think they CANT give him a LS card until he plays an actual game.
But I could be wrong. We'll see in a little over a month.

@X-FREEZE-OFF-X according to the MLBPA FAQ, they have to be on the 40 man roster to be eligible. That is why there are so many MiLB players in the game. They haven’t played in the majors, but they are on the roster, so they are in the game.
https://www.mlbplayers.com/faq
And, there is already a Topps card of Yamamoto in a Dodger uniform. If they don't want to use that one, they do have Photoshop. He will be there and in a Dodger uniform. Plus, there are photographers at Spring Training. They can get a pic there too.
