Sets

Well like I've said it's just my opinion
-
I’m not preordering anything until sets are confirmed. Not doing that again. No way.
-
I am fine with sets if they are a ovr creep and cards dont fade out
I prefer them over collecting vouchers

In all fairness sets and seasons had nothing to do with you using a variety of players this year. Starting late vs starting early did. Even with the old power creep model you would have used other cards because they were the best available at the time in the game cycle. It’s not a fair comparison unless you start the game at the same time each year.
Completely disagree with you and agree with @sbchamps17. I had different players every season except for Smith at catcher and Ohtani at DH. And that was just starting at set 3 for both of them. I had trouble keeping up with the players I kept getting and having time to play them and at peak time I was playing 8 game a day. I have a teams worth of players I never used rated 99.

I agree that the new model did not help with lineup diversity. This year there was 1-2 top card(s) for each position, with a bunch of 97's, then they expire.... rinse and repeat.Regardless of the format, if they wanted lineup diversity, then all they have to do is release several top cards at each position, that are comparable.... without expiration dates.

What are you talking about? I have so many 99s at every position I couldn’t use them all once between now and the new game launching. Maybe you have 1 or 2 because you stopped playing in May.
If you think cards expire. You clearly didn’t play DD when it came into existence.

Granted, they messed up other ways, but the BIGGEST way they messed up with Sets and Seasons; IMO, was not making the The Three Main Collection Rewards, for each Season, Core cards.

You have a lot of 99's to choose from now because every card is available for season 6.I was referring cards that were not available in previous seasons because they were ineligible for that particular Season and basically "expired" (until Season 6).
-
I think sets and seasons were only a problem because of 99s at the start of the game. I didn’t want to get the same card later in the game that is worse than the first one I got. I did like the set collections.
I’d personally like to see every card be sellable and a high value marketplace where cards are 1-2 mill

Sets/seasons destroyed this game. Too many 99 cards in general. Every card looked the same. High 90s from day 1 made live series golds/silvers basically irrelevant for 90% of the game cycle. If this model continues, can’t see myself buying.

I never had a point where a 99 wasn’t being used outside the first few weeks of the game. That’s were the I was using other players I usually wouldn’t think of using came into play.
Which I actually enjoyed versus getting Rickey Henderson in April and never using anyone but him all year. To use him as my example.
