In my opinion; I think SDS 'ignored' late purchasers this year.

Let me explain. And I don't think they did it on purpose.
In years past; you used to be able to start this game, around Dec, and still be able to complete every program and collect every card. Usually without buying alot of them.
Now, back in Dec I started a new account, as I didn't want to play online with my main znd I didn't want to quit playing until 24 cane out.
Now, luckily I started in time and got all the WBC cards, except some of the BR Core ones and a few that I didn't want, but yet once I finish the AL/NL West TA 1 and collect all those 'free' cards, I'll still be short for the 3rd Set 1 Collection card.
I took Chipper first and I'll be taking Babe once I finish TA 1 and lock in the rest of my 'free' cards.
Thst will leave me short 60 cards to get to the next pack.
I can buy them, off the Market, but even at an average of 10K each, that's 600K in stubs.
That's alot for a card; that would probably only make a Red Sox theme team.
Set 2 I would be about 20 short for the 3rd pack. But I could do without Wright.
And don't get me started on the Kaiju and Captain cards that are over 300-400K, each, and only available, unless SDS releases packs, on the market.
Lat year, after I completed everything I wanted to do on my main account, I started a second account when they release the Forever Prigram, and obtained EVERY card and completed EVERY program/Conquest Map again before 23 dropped.
I just decided that I won't be able to come close to where I'm at, with my main account, with this secondary account. So, imo, it's not worth me even trying.
Thst means thst I'm going to have to play BR, took me over 15 mins to find my first opponent, the Event (cards in the Reward path not being sellable and me having every card I want, minus the Cores from BR, doesn't make sense for me to play for non-sellable rewards), Ranked (again, don't need or want any of the rewards), or 9 inning Play vs CPU games.
That or just call it quits.
Maybe I'll try to P5 my entire main squad by playing 9 inning PVC games while I watch TV.

The baseball season ends in October. I'm happy the content went through December. Most people take a break from the game in January and February before the new version drops so I understand the game slows down.

I thought people quit playing when Madden came out and will quit at a higher rate when NCAA comes out. Baseball ended in October as @Ezio-I7_XBL pointed out. We should be grateful they actually put out new stuff through January. There was a time they stopped when the season ended.

One of these two probably lol

Just confirms my earlier suspicion that SDS is “nudging” us to play more online.
Not a direction I’m happy with.

I'm not sure about this. I played offline all year and did fine. Sure, I didn't get the CORE or Set 1 collections finished without buying cards (with stubs I earned in the game), but I don't care about those. I think, if anything, they are pushing for people to buy the game when it comes out and not wait until it drops to $10. This year, by buying the game late, a lot of content was missed, and since there are so many cards that cannot be purchased, there are a lot of cards that late purchasers can't obtain.
But that doesn't bother me either because I've been preordering the game since 21. Before that, I waited until the price dropped to $10 and played Franchise a year behind. I began playing DD at the end of 20, so when 21 rolled around, I preordered and have done so since and will again for 24.

Why? That’s his second account as in he likely has nothing to do on his first account and is playing it again on another account. I also didn’t play a single game online like the other person above me and completed every set except set 1 and set 2 but that was more because I wasn’t trying.

To me it has nothing to do with ignoring the late purchasers … They built the collections in a way, where you also have to spend your earned stubs. It is significantly easier to make stubs, when „the easy cards“ are worth more … I sold a lot of them high and bought a lot of them at 10K … it is a natural process of fewer people getting cards … which make some odd ones go crazy high.
To me, finishing collections in previous years was just as hard.@capardo_XBL This year it was pretty obvious that playing online was not high on the list. Few „online rewards“ mattered … I grinded the heck out of the Rockies to finish the various TA programs, because it was a) the easiest way to do it and b) online required a lot more time … So I highly disagree … Starting with TA5 the gave the online guys a few easier ways … I think, they nailed it in TA6 … Now you can choose how you like to do it. Prefer offline —> fine … prefer online: go get your exchange packs for innings …

I played online a little this year but don't appreciate getting my rear end kicked but I ended up finishing all the collections and have about 1.3 million to spend and I really don't see any card I can live without. I would like the $1,000,000 Trammel card that I should have bought when it was $340k but really don't want to stand in line for it.

I also don't play online, I played to ranked games all season and got mercyed in both then I played BR and had 1 win all season and played a couple Event games and just got my 1st win yesterday (Sunday), so I will stick with offline, I also got all the collections done with around 230k with hopefully another 300k from the MS Acuna

@capardo the online is a terrible peer 2 peer slop
