I just don't see how the Dihigo card is better than the Realmuto card.

He’s coming off the bench so his ability to play anywhere on the field makes him valuable. He can bunt which could be a plus.

Hey if you like Realmuto then use him, I personally rake the Realmuto cards. It's your team use whoever you want, it seems like you have a good squad, it I can beat it playing on a Nintendo switch lite then you can beat it with whatever console you play on. I used Paul Skeenes for all the games and was able to grind him to p5

He is right … I meant the other Dihigo though

I'm halfway through the Extreme map now. Realmuto is working out well. I'm still on turn 2, so I should be good to reach the next turn-based goal (all territories before turn 6). I have 129 stolen bases in 17 games (I had to play the Nationals 3 times. I lost the 1st game, stole fans with the 2nd, and won the 3rd) and have scored an average 4.2 runs per game.
(I made this chart sortable by all of the stats so I can quickly check on how I'm doing with each player). -
Why are you batting your worst guy first in the order?

It doesn’t matter who I lead off with, I always suck with him. I don’t know if I need to see a lot of pitches before I settle in or what.
Also, I’m a sucker for the first pitch fastball in the zone, and I usually fly out. On the lower levels I will hit it out, but on AS and HOF, I fly out.
I’ve come to the conclusion that my leadoff guy is a sacrifice. I’ve had Morgan and Brock lead off already and their averages suffered badly. Now that I’m beginning the AL teams, I'll move Robinson down and I'll lead off with either Raines or Trout.

I wanted to name Trout, but I was not sure if you were open to this :). Especially in a conquest game you have to assure your best hitters come up twice a game. I would put him up or Elly

Thanks. Historically, I do really bad with Elly leading off. I mean, really bad. I stuck Raines in leadoff and I am doing well with that setup. I am surprised. He's hit a homer and gotten on base at least once in each game I've played so far.
I made some other moves too. I put Jackie on the bench, moved Realmuto to 1st, and put Adley at catcher. I stuck Mauer on the bench too. Adley hasn't gotten a hit yet (but has two SFs), but I figure when he does, I'll pinch-run for him and then stick Mauer in. I looked at putting Dihigo at catcher or first, but the Realmuto card is better at first and both Adley and Mauer are better at catcher. Admittedly, neither of them has the speed I want, but with a pinch runner, that issue is solved.

Adley with PR and Mauer behind (he rakes for me) is great imo … Raines is awesome for me
-
I've finished my 22nd game, and the AL West. I'm now on to the AL Central.
The bottom screenshot is from my latest tool. I call it the Player Statistics Tracker. It takes the data from the screen in my game history (copy/paste), compiles it, and then sorts it. The spreadsheet can also be sorted by each stat for both hitters and pitchers.

Killing it with Trout ain’t ya my goodness

I know! He is the Captain on this team.
-
I made it through the AL Central. Now, onto the homestretch. I'm a bit worried about the last territory (44?). Will I have to play that square as a game, or will I be able to sim it?
I haven't had any luck hitting with catchers except for Realmuto, so I am considering moving him back to catcher and putting Jimmie Foxx at 1B. I will add a second first baseman to my bench when I need to pinch run for Jimmie.
-
You most likely need to play it just because you won't have enough to sim, I had to play it on hall of fame difficulty

Thanks. I'll mentally prepare myself for that then.
-
It took me only twice to actually win that final game which for someone who really only plays on rookie difficulty
-
If you're turns are right, you can skip after beating the stronghold to shore up your defenses and either sim it or at least be able to play it at a lower difficulty.

I'm still on turn three, so I'm hoping to get to that spot still on turn three or maybe turn four. If I work it right, I should be able to reinforce for turn 5 and sim it to knock the 44 down, and then reinforce again on turn 6 and play it until I beat it.
This is all theory at this point, and different scenarios are playing through my head for now.

Remember - Be Careful on that Turn 5 Sim. If your numbers are really close and they beat you, you gotta start over completely. If you skip again to reinforce - they wont attack I think? Cause you're on a stronghold? It's been a while since I did.
