    ... then why do they indicate "late", "slightly early", etc. Always thought it was based on press and release (plus where you are aiming). If it's not, it should be, but, ya, work in different consistency attributes for pitchers based on (I would say) primarily their WHIP.

    Classic pitching with meter? You still have to hit the line and if you don’t hit the line it’ll end up someplace other than where you want it. If you hit the line the ball still will wind up someplace inside the circle the ball is inside which is sometimes rather large depending on the pitchers control of the pitch you selected.

    All Pitching Methods...just like hitting... have a "Degree of Error" built in to it. Classic pitching has the largest degree of error. Otherwise there would be no point to having any other pitching mechanism if you had a guy with 99 Control/125 Hits/BB/HR per 9...you'd just be able to press a button and dot every pitch.

    Playing online, that degree of error is I'm guessing either A) Amplified or B) More aligned to what its supposed to be vs. Offline.

    has anyone ever noticed when you’re trying to hurry through the grind that it seems like the less accurate your pitches are on pulse the MORE likely the cpu is to miss it? I’m speaking of the lower difficulties like veteran and rookie since that’s about all I ever play on when grinding but if not I challenge y’all to try it.

    Pick a pitch and put it right down the middle and then instead of trying to get perfect timing do the opposite and try to make it as early as possible or late either one and watch and see if they don’t swing and miss nearly every time. This works beautifully doing the moments.

    I have a conspiracy theory that that cpu is cheating but when it’s unable to know the location it just misses every time. Just try to make the circle as large as possible. If this has been discussed on here than I’m sorry for bringing it back up but since I’ve been on here I’ve never seen it mentioned and this topic seemed like a good place to mention it. I almost hate to bring it up because it’s so effective that it takes the fun out of the game but it’s worth it to see it for yourselves if for no other reason.

    I even have thrown two no hitters against the cpu despite using a single finger to pitch and have thrown countless shutouts this way. With some pitchers it’s more effective than others but I’ve never seen it NOT work and have never walked more than three people in a game using this method

    @BxnnyMxn_

    Ive noticed that too! I use pulse every year and I’ve had better luck striking out the side when I wouldn’t try to get a perfect release. Also, the cpu knows what input you’re using.

    Next time you play conquest or showdown, get a guy on first, then move your left analog stick around in random directions.
    I tested it tonight on conquest and by only moving my left joystick with somebody on first, the pitcher threw a pick off followed by a pitch out lol

    The cpu always cheats with coding so we’re doomed!
