Team Balance

So to follow up on an old post, we are now up to 3 released Royals 99 players the week of the world series before finest hits. We now have 4 99 Schwarbers and 3 99 Realmutos. How do we have more 99's of one PLAYER than a whole TEAM?!?! If we are supposed to use team captains for theme teams, at least TRY to balance the 30 franchises. This is pretty pathetic as a Royals fan.

I agree and I am not a Royals fan.
Playoff teams are always going to end up with more cards but the two ends of the spectrum, Phillies with 22 and Royals with 3 is an extreme difference. Even Texas and Arizona won't get enough 99 WS cards to catch them up to the Phillies.
I understand that SDS is more interested in releasing popular cards that may entice players to buy stubs in order to just purchase the cards outright than they are "Team Balance" but they should realize that some people really enjoying play with players from their favorite team.
I personally think their whole release schedule with Sets this year has been a bit of a mess. Yes people wanted to get good cards earlier in the year but I am not sure nobody wanted that at the expense of using those good cards later.
