Conquest shenanigans

They have totally destroyed conquest. Between the ridiculous sims where you will lose 12-2 battles regularly vs the CPU, terrible pitchers dotting you up, and nerfed offense the majority of the time they are not fun to play in the least. Not asking for a gimme but it’s clear as day the dials have been tweaked under the hood this year to prolong the already endless grind. Overall gameplay may be slightly better this year but pretty much everything else including SDS communication is barreling downhill at a startling speed.

offline gameplay is the worst it has even been

Must be you, I never have any problems with conquest

I’m talking more on the sim level than anything. Also there is no doubt the cpu dots and squares up pitches on rookie they have no business doing. So either you haven’t actually seen it or you are humble bragging. Either way good for you champ.

Definitely you, but lucky you you can actually pool play I cannot with have a Nintendo switch. They don't square up that many pitches

It's a "you" thing.
I actually enjoy conquest more then vs CPU.

Conquest is by far my favorite mode as well but I have also noticed that, in my own personal experience, it seems i do much, much better on veteran than on rookie. Same goes for AS mode as well. The pitches come in so incredibly slow in rookie mode that it really messes up my timing so i try and stick to veteran.
I see a 6-0 win in a 3inning conquest game about the same as winning 20-0 in rookie vs cpu but without anywhere close to the same amount of xp that I’ve been able to earn in a vs cpu game. Just my two cents -
My bigger gripe is with the sims where you lose despite a 10 fan advantage trying to get to the stronghold. Also the CPU tends to be much more aggressive this year compared to previous installments. I’m not saying it’s hard just laughably tedious at times. I’m also not asking for straight meatballs at low difficulties but the CPU has a crazy tendency to dot pitches, nibble just off the corners, and square up or foul off pitches on the black that just make me shake my head. Whenever the CPU fouls off 7 or 8 straight pitches a hit or HR is usually coming. Rookie difficulty in particular just plays “weird” at times.

It is quite a pain to watch them let two meatballs go by or Flail wildly at the first two strikes and then turn into Joe Dimaggio that fouls off every strikeout pitch or watches the perfect slider that just misses the zone cause they've got an eagle eye.

I noticed that in Conquest in 22, the results were far different than vs CPU. The simming was the same as always, but I always play Conquest on AS, and the number of times I went into extras (4th) in a 0-0 game compared to 5-6 runs output of years past was staggering. They basically imported the Showdown sliders into Conquest.
