First Look At Your Two 99 Overall Career Tribute Program Cards

Good content for Cardinals theme teams so I am happy but also ouch....
They have now made Matt Holliday's, Nolan Arenado's and Paul Goldschmidt's 99 overall cards for their other teams, even though Goldy won the MVP as a Cardinal last year. I guess I can at least stop holding my breath as to when Goldy and Arenado would get their deserved 99 cards.
But hey we got Ryan Ludwick.

Oh these are very nice looking cards and I’d LOVE to have both of these on my team! Gimme! What class acts in life and baseball are Miggy and Waino…those are some great players…Cabrera is an icon
These cards look awesome, can you imagine if this was the style they used for snapshot series,

Yes, but it is also the case where the Cardinals players are really the only ones I try and collect and I use that theme team for a lot of the content.
But to give you an idea about how long I have been a Cardinals fan I can say this. I was in the stands with my dad, uncle and brother when Lou Brock set the single season SB record in 1974. So it has been a long time.

Yeah they should've made that dumb snapshot a D-Backs card, and released the Goldy 99 MVP.
I am sure both Colorado and Arizona desperately needed some 99 overall cards and the 97 Arenado and Goldy cards are usable for my purposes. In the end I am just happy that Goldy and Arenado finally have gotten their well deserved 99 overall cards.
But that 90 STL Holliday card basically still serves no purpose at all.

These are stunning but don’t fit criteria of the snapshot which is them off the field.

I though of all the Cardinals fans in here when I saw those 2 cards on the Facebook post.

I just feel that I need to reiterate here that I am not saying that those players did not also earn and deserve 99 overall cards for their other teams. They did. I understand why they were probably assigned to Colorado and Arizona, especially in light of the 99 Waino and Carpenter cards. (EDIT: and newly revealed 97 Lance Lynn)
But that does not mean that it still does not sting a little to not get a single one of them as a 99 ovr STL card. Makes me wonder if we will see a 99 MVP Goldy card at all.

My guess is 2022 was so close they won’t have special cards for that season in 2023. Maybe next years game will have one?

I just realized they used the exact same card art for Dallas Keuchels Set 4 prime as his core All star card lol. Has that happened before lol?
