The bull the devs pull on this mode is enough to delete the game and never buy another one. Competition is fine. But when you’re playing on Rookie to grind stats and it’s clear that the sliders are adjusted and every game, even on rookie, goes into extras with 0-0 or 1-1 scores against garbage clubs, you know the devs are giving you the finger for your time. This game is just getting consistently worse every year. But at least we have 8 versions of the same players over and over again instead of new content players. That’s a plus.
Here is something interesting - well to me anyway.
I was looking at my game history logs (because I won a conquest game that didn't count) and noticed that the level of difficulty is for pitching, not hitting.
Check out your logs to see if it is the same.

logs are different, people struggle on rookie because they are swinging at everything trying to fly through it, then blame the game for it being to hard. the whining wont stop.

We’re complaining about rookie now? Lol every conquest game on rookie I put up 3-5 runs in the first and bunt out the rest. Every single time. If you’re struggling on rookie then I would do as you say you’re going to and not buy the next game lol

This old crank is rude to most people. He thinks because he played high school baseball he is better than everyone else. Best to just block him so he can go back truth social when people stop replying to him here.

This is a thread where my list of users that gets banned grows…..
No, most of us don’t struggle on rookie! We get frustrated because our all 99 rated God squad scores 1 or 2 runs against the 2023 Oakland A’s while they play like the 1970 Billy Martin Oakland A’s. We win, but 1-0, instead of the “gazillion” to nothing that our 99 squad “should” do if Rookie played like Rookie should.
And it’s not once or twice. It’s every single Conquest game!
We play to grind out some PXP, relax and drink a cold one. Instead, we spend more time shaking our head and yelling at the screen than hitting homers.

LMAO...I'm aware its pre-determined. What I wasn't aware was that the diamond spots would disappear or the sheer numbers of what it's supposed to show would change.

Playing on Veteran or All-Star seemed to help. 15 runs at the most compared to Rookie but I only do the conquest if it is absolutely required. no repeatable missions in a program)

I've posted about this before so I won't go into the details I did in another post but yeah it's way off....most of my Rookie conquest games are 1-0 3 hit affairs but my rookie vs CPU games are 30+ to 0 games with 40+ hits so its pretty obvious they've done something to keep you from grinding the stats while finishing a map quickly.
Also, yes to those who suggested veteran, I've noticed I will put up 3-10 runs during a conquest game on Veteran difficulty.

On rookie literally just switch to timing and you’ll be raking HRs left and right it’s much easier then using a pci at that difficulty level

I never play conquest games on rookie. I always choose veteran as that is my preferred difficulty. Even then I still go through hot and cold streaks. Last night going through the Career conquest was a struggle. A lineup full of power guys and everything seemed weak. But I squeaked out the wins and that is all that matters.
I also discovered last night that Greg Vaughan may just be the card I am the worst with. I could not buy solid contact with that man.
