Conquest is a mess

I have a higher BA with Jeter online than vs CPU, they’ve definitely made playing offline way more tedious.

I’m can deal with the game play, but the continued losing sim battles of my 9 fans to the CPU’s 2 is not exciting, it’s just annoying.
Let’s tweak this programming , please.
Did that earlier on the west map, 14-2 I lost all 14.

I mean, we have to give SDS credit where credit is due…
If they read this forum for even 10 minutes, they’ve heard that we want all the various modes in DD to play consistently.
Well, they listened. Conquest now plays like Showdown.
Thanks,SDS!

Haha, conquest really does seem to play more like showdown than vs CPU for darn sure.

What grinds my gears about playing these modes vs. the CPU is when no name hitters with low contact, power, clutch and vision are up there BATTLING with my 95+ level pitchers. They all seem to have eagle eye with the patience of a elementary school teacher. When they do make contact it's never soft, it's always a solid rip. And as someone else has said already, the amount of double plays I hit into vs the CPU has mirrored my experience with showdowns this year. The CPU needs a double play, 8 out of 10 times they seem to get that double play.

Interesting thing about the double plays at least for me, is if you turn off commentary you can hear the fans and they will say stuff like get him to hit into a double play and i kid you not 80/90% of the time thats exactly what ends up happening.

I call it “Double Play on Demand” (DPOD).

Heck I just wish I could hit into a double play. Unfortunately that requires getting someone on base.….base bbbase. I can’t get on baybaybaybaybaybayce…..BOICE

I’m glad you said it. Conquest is so unenjoyable this year. Rookie and Veteran levels should be a lot of fastballs right down the middle. We aren’t getting that. What is the point of having the option to select difficulty, if they all play the same (except pitch speed)?
-
I notice this sort of thing happens after they release the Extreme Set. The same thing now happened last year around the same time too! Not sure why they can't only tweak the mode for that specific conquest.
