Has anyone else tried this card out yet? He’s labeled as a relief pitcher but can play the field and very good too. I just tried him out a few games and he’s been insane. I played him at second base and he went 3-4 with two home runs. Incredible swing and way more power than expected. He might be the best Topps Now position player I’ve used all year.

I too have taken the opportunity to wax eloquent on the accolades of this card, although elsewhere on the forum….he’s incredible! His location circle for his fastball looks like a pencil eraser and his scroogie has every bit of 36” of vertical break to go with the 12-18” of horizontal movement (depending on where you locate) haha it’s ‘riddiculus’ ain’t it!!!
PS I love his swing as well! I’ve had to let him be my replacement for IKF as my go to guy for the eephus

I used him as a reliever to get pxp for the week 2 TN program. I'll have to try him in the field.

I used him as a reliever to get pxp for the week 2 TN program. I'll have to try him in the field.
You definitely need to get him in your lineup. He’s ridiculously good at the plate and his fielding numbers are very good.

I don’t play online but I can say for certain that the cpu can’t put any wood on the ball at all…especially the way you can paint the corners in the black with the first couple of 4 seamers (hard to refer to it as a ‘fastball’ lol) and then followed by that devastating screwball that drops like a stone haha
As far as using him against a human opponent I’d love to hear how it works out but I’d just about worry that it might be like swinging at a slow pitched softball once they were able to get the timing down lol how’s the saying go…location location location haha

I was doing some housecleaning in me bullpen this morning and noticed some things about our friend Nicky Lopez here ….take a look at his ‘Parallels’ tab when viewing his card…the first thing that struck me is the very 1st stage (green) it looks as if only 1015 people have this card…and only 327 who’ve actually logged any innings! There are only 49 people who’ve gotten to +2 and the last three go 0/12, 0/9, and 0/3, respectively! Talk about a SLEEPER card!
Here are a few numbers (I’m one of the 26 who are on their way to +3) that I’ve put up with him so far:
14 games, 22.1 IP he’s 4-0 (started 3 of those lol) with 7 saves. ERA is 0.00 with 45K (K/9 18.134) but here’s my fav: In 71 AB against he’s given up 4 hits total (RHB=3, LHB=1) for a total batting average against of .056 (.061 RHB, .045 LHB) and it’s only going to get better once I get him to +5 haha!
The attributes are just great! 125PCLT, 125 BB/9, 95 CTRL and 99 BRK! Don’t feel like pitching him? That’s fine too! Drop him in at 2B, 3B, or Short and enjoy his 99 FLD, 99 ACC, and 93 REAC in the field! Did I mention he CRUSHES the ball? I’m loving this dude
