I’ve been having a gameplay issue all season where my baserunners will always take off with the crack of the bat. It doesn’t matter if the hit is a shallow fly bal, foul pop, ground ball, etc they take off regardless.

This is especially frustrating on potential sac flys - my runners are never available to tag up and I almost always get doubled up.

I don’t have auto baserunning on. I don’t take leads or steal. Im not hitting any button besides swing, but this always happens. It happens in ranked play, showdowns, conquest etc - online and offline.

Can anyone lend any help re: what might be causing this, and how I can stop it? It’s really ruining this game for me.

Perhaps try the auto baserunning? You still can override with a quick tap of one of the top buttons.

Maybe you’re inadvertently giving the hit and run command before you swing?

How do you give the hit and run command before you swing? This sounds like it could be it..

Auto baserunning won’t work online but I suppose it’s worth a shot for offline.

    Thanks and LGM (ugh)

I should have clarified that my runners don’t steal - the aggressive advancement is only on balls in play. So it’s doubtful it’s a hit and run thing or they’d be stealing anytime I swing and miss, take a pitch, etc.

Are you set to analogue or buttons in your gameplay settings? Change to analogue if not. It does seem like agressive baserunners are slightly stupid especially if you playing CPU .The CPU has magical powers to , know what baserunners wll do before they thmselves have concieved a thought. Woooooooo scary aint it?
