Best hitting view?

I like to use “catcher near” when hitting and “pitcher center” when pitching.
-
Looks like I’ve been using ‘pitcher offset’ but I’m trying your recommendation and I’m already liking how you get to see the ball movement much better. I’ll try the other when I get to bat….those usually take me a little longer to adjust to - thanks
-
I tried them all out but I like being right in the middle so the view is the same for left or right.
I don’t like the pitcher being too small or too high and I don’t like fish eye where you see a lot on first or third. This view for me he’s just pulled straight out from me and I can read pitches better.
-
I use SZ High for hitting and pitching

That’s old school. You are flashing me back. I busted out World Series Baseball ‘95 when I was playing around with the Genesis a couple weeks back and that was about what the view was in the game. Of course the game was incredibly choppy being it was 1995 and 8 bit but man I couldn’t hit a lick anymore on that view. Kudos to you for still being able to do it. I might have to give it a go on this game and for an entire game.

I literally just switched to this and tried it and hit a homer with wade Boggs on the first pitch. So far I’ve not been able to tell exactly what the difference is between sz2 and this one (besides what’s indicated by the name) but i likes it!
-
Oh yes…I’m sticking with this one at least for batting. I’ll test it on pitching also but I tend to prefer the pitcher perspective even though I see the clear value in pitching from the batting view also…no question as to your location on fastballs it’s just the breaking pitches i (personally) seem to control better from the pitcher view. This is the precise reason why I had asked! Both of you have given me an improved way to enjoy this game now and I thank you most sincerely I truly do

Count me in with you. I’m going with this view for both. It’s completely changed my swing timing in a monstrous way…I’ve never had 7 straight hits before ever let alone in back to back innings! And the way those fastballs tail at the end and explode into the mitt…I’m hooked there too. I owes ye

I’m no spring chicken. Kudos to the both of you. I didn’t last an inning. I can’t do it. I have the same trouble with 1st person shooters these days. I favor Sniper Elite 5 vs Modern Warfare 2. I have them both just favor SE2 because it isn’t first person.

I enjoyed the pitching too but I may go back and forth before I’m decided but I gotta say the hitting biew change made an incredible difference for me. I found that I could now hit much much better with several players that, before, I could never do properly. I was finishing up the incognito program and had Papi in the lineup and I hit 5 homers with him…I think I had 2 total before but with that view change it caused me to be able to turn on pitches that I usually just waited on and hit oppo…it makes sense when you really think about it. I’m happy with the batting 200%.
Hey @fubar2k7_PSN any idea which of these alter ego packs I should choose? 1, 2, or 3? Does it make a difference?

That’s totally okay, my friend - I got to thinking that I was in season 3 collecting series 3 cards so I went with the third choice lol. I knew there was some instance where one could end up with a ‘rare’ option and that was my main fear. I didn’t receive that option but was still very pleased as I was able to pick up a solid Lou Brock which I have been incredibly happy with in a short time. I’ve ended up being a single point shy of completing it and so I’m still playing with the incognito team.
I figured out the hard way last night that sometimes it’s not enough to simply choose a team of your best incognito players when grinding for these points for completion! I had decided to try Randy Johnson’s card (I thought his fastball/slider would be a beautiful thing to behold using that ‘high strike zone’ view…and it didn’t disappoint) and after the game, and to my unadulterated chagrin, the 650+xp I had just garnered him him did not count towards my mission xp progress! Live and learn, ey? Lol…I quickly figured out what they were looking for and made the necessary changes to maximize things so I can avoid that cursed showdown for my single point haha sorry so long

Ditto…
Yes I’ve found myself in the same predicament however I was far closer to finishing this one than the WBC and Mexico City ones (although if there’s a card for the fella named ‘Shlomo’ that was on Israeli team I will have it!), so I went this route. C’mon, let’s both chalk this one off…I realize this is much easier for me to say considering where I am but I have a strong suspicion, even bordering on premonition, that with your skills you’ll make my get shorter work of this than I have!
I will say once getting Miles Mikolas aka 5280 (and used him instead of Maddux haha) the program xp has been coming in quite quickly.

I plan to take Buck O’Neil even though it means playing Vladdy at third. It was always gonna be him from the minute I saw he was there. Joc will be my next one because he’s been my guy since he went 30/30 in the Dodgers minors.

Excellent. I was leaning towards the same myself it’s only that I wasn’t sure if it would be a better card than the one I’ve been using as captain. Wonder if the rear of the team will lose their boosts if I replace hi with the 99 version?

I love how every player is so incredibly versatile…the toughest choice is which ones to use in the field vs the mound…Satchel and Buck O’Neil being the only two where that’s not a game time decision haha! I saw a post that said Paige’s windup is shortened in his newest iteration so I’d be tempted to swap that card out also.
