There is a mission related to walks in ranked, also people know that home plate umpire is [censored] and now are taking more borderline pitches.

The umps on online play should have no preferences imo plus I’ve thrown a million balls 3/4 in the zone that are called for balls this year. It’s frustrating I know.

Yeah what I’m referring to I don’t believe has anything to do with the “5 walk mission”. I just feel like since the game dropped, more people are looking for walks this year, more than any other. Just my opinion. Wanted to hear people’s thoughts?

Since I'm playing a baseball simulator, I try to not swing at everything and actually "play baseball" which includes bunting, stealing and looking for pitches. I feel that waiting for a decent pitch to hit gives me a better chance of a better result. I swing at enough bad pitches out of the zone that I don't need to handicap myself by swinging at everything.

Yep, the worst is knowing that your opponent is taking 0-2 and you cant throw a strike. beyond frustrating.

I havnt noticed a wide spread difference. I usually try to pound the zone early in the count Looking for weak contact so if I get deep into the count Im usually ahead and can get guys to chase. I know the people who take more pitches are better hitters, when I’m playing someone who is 100% on their swing decisions and is willing to take a strike or two I know I’m going to get destroyed

I am working on taking pitches so I look one spot because I know for most player they throw outside the zone maybe it's more like people have figured out the game plan and just aren't biting
Maybe you need to change your approach
