Like I bought the BR reward Griffey- so now in a month I won’t be able to use him but they will come out with a new 99 Griffey that I either have to grind for or pay more money for
I’m almost disgusted with this- sorry if it sounds like I just woke from a coma but this really didn’t hit me in the earlier months of the game bc we were able to use any cards we like

I agree with the OP. I have not been a fan of being told who I can play with…I’m trying to keep an open mind & seeing how this all plays out. If I truly will never be able to use Chipper & Babe on the same team again in RS then this will be my last year of busting my [censored] grinding & buying stubs because what’s the point?

I expect this from EA or 2k but not SDS. "Oh you spend your hard earned money and time on these set of cards. Well F you those cards are useless, give me more money". SDS is tiptoeing the line between being what it supposed to be and EA and 2K's little brother

I think you are ahead of the curve. I don’t think it will hit a lot of people until season three. This is definitely my least favorite version of this game yet…which is sad because I enjoy the gameplay.

I spent money/stubs on some of these cards they’re my property. I’ve built their averages up and I want to continue to use them and decide on my own if I want to replace them or not
Imagine going to footlocker spending money and buying 3 pairs of sneakers and the manager comes out and says- “thank you for your purchase, you can only wear the brown sneakers for a month and then you have to burn them”
like this makes no sense
What’s to say you won’t swap out your wild card over and over on a daily basis amongst all those set 1 cards depending on your mood?

Exactly I enjoy playing the game so much but now it’s like I have this daunting feeling of “oh some of my favorite cards I have im being forced to retire” and it’s really frustrating

I get that…And I admire SDS for trying to shake it up. And I loved having all those great cards day one. The only mistake was making the cards expire after two seasons. But man, That’s a HUGE mistake.

When this thread has nothing to do what people were mainly complaining about last year bc last year the main complaint was GAMEPLAY
gameplay is better than ever so sds addressed that issue
There was very little complaints about content as the content team always does a stellar job
And your other post is irrelevant because they didn’t release super cracked cards early in the game last year like they did this year
So one of their main selling points this year was “99’s on day one”
Which is great- but also these 99’s weren’t easy to get. You either had to pay money or grind BR
So you’re telling me after all the money spent to buy Trout/Griffey/JT/Marte etc etc(and they weren’t cheap) they are going to turn around in a month and tell me I can’t use those cards anymore?
Lol that’s ridiculous- because those cards are end game cards… what’s the use of 99’s on day one if I can’t even use them 2-3 months into the game cycle
After I spent hard earned money/time to get them
