There’s a HUGE difference when I’m playing MLB 22 vs 23. I thought it was just me or my connection when I bought 23. After further testing it’s MLB 23 that’s the problem. I did a number of things to try and figure out what is the problem was.

-Checked my internet speed and everything was good 580 download speed, 28 upload speed, 0% packet loss,
-Cleared out old games I no longer play
    -Cleared out my persistent storage
-Switched from playing on a TV to a monitor
    -Cleared out my MAC address
    -Changed port selection
-And a couple of other things.

But nothing changed, I use pin point pitching and the lag/ choppiness when I’m pitching is DEFINITELY noticeable when I’m trying to use PPP. Finally I was like screw it let me put 22 back on and everything’s back to normal. There’s no more choppiness or lag when I’m pitching. I was getting perfect pitching consistently which isn’t the case in 23 where I’m lucky to get a couple of perfect inputs.

It’s not just pitching but also hitting I can hit way better in 22 vs 23. Played a couple of games on 22 and was scoring more runs hitting WAY better cause I could clearly see the ball better. I know there’s no clear evidence on hitting but there’s a HUGE difference when I’m using PPP. Like the movement it tells me to make when using PPP I can CLEARLY see there’s lag/choppiness in 23 as compared to 22 it’s all one smooth movement.

I’m playin on Xbox 1 the older gen could 23 not be supported as much as 22 was? The lag/ choppiness is there vs cpu not just in H2H. Any idea what else I can do to fix it? It’s clearly the game and not my connection. Any help is greatly greatly appreciated cause this problem has really been a turn off for me playing even against the cpu mini seasons which I love playing.

I mean you wrote all that in the beginning but the first sentence of your last paragraph was all that needed to be said

You’re playing on an Xbox 1. That’s why your game feels the way it does. This has been a known thing for a while now

I play on ps5 and it ruins smoothly for me, but i heard ps4 also experienced choppiness, most likely caused by being on a older generation console.

It’s just difficult to fathom that the game plays better on a Switch than on an Xbox One or PS4. It’s definitely time to upgrade consoles. The XBox X is at Costco, so newer consoles are readily available now.

My girlfriends teenage son plays on my old PS4 Pro and I haven’t heard him complain and he’s a teenager who complains all the time. Might be a little of both his console and something else going on.

It’s definitely the older gen console. I was dealing with the same thing on ps4. I just upgraded to ps5 and there is no more issues with that.

Thus. I mentioned the same issues earlier in the year and was told the same thing. Unfortunately; it's time to upgrade to current gen.

i upgraded and it is night and day. THe ps4 was choppy and at times would have awful pitch feedback, even when the timing was right. Pitches would go up and in and mostly out of the zone. A few stayed in and got hammered lol, but when i got a PS5 that mostly went away. I still occasionally get the weird pitch thing, but it is not choppy
