How do I switch from a starter to reliever

It used to give me options when using my 2 way player in RTTS to catch more, be a starter, or come out of the pen. Now it’s only keeping me as a starter even with a new RTTS. Can’t find anything on YouTube either.

Create a new player. Make him a reliever. You can keep him as Joe Random. Get drafted by whoever you want. Then back out, load your starter, then go back into your new save. You're now able to use your starter as a reliever.
I don't know how you can do it within your current save that you already have, but I've used this trick if I want to use my already created player at another position.
