Veteran is the mode I play on. I might draw one or two walks in a 9 inning game but nothing excessive.

Havn't been playing the 9 inning games since the second series began but I was playing it a lot with no problems before it came out, i've noticed this though in the conquest games for the new TA2 maps.
Like I said i'm probably pressing and just not having as much patience as i normally do. Honestly when i made this post i was just frustrated.

Could be. I can be pretty patient at the plate, waiting for good pitch.
I often wondered if the AI is smart enough to say "If they are going to swing at pitches out of the zone then I will keep pitching out of the zone". I mean that is what a human would do, right?

Absolutely right, haha simple solution here may be to quit swinging at obvious balls.

In last year’s DD guide I read that the CPU picks up on tendencies and exploits bad plate discipline. It’s probably the same this year.

I actually did not know this, it makes sense though. Thanks for the heads up.

Np, check it out when you have a chance. A lot of good info there that can help understand hitting outcomes

I have the exact opposite experience. In veterans mode 96% of the first two pitches are strikes that on the corners. It kills me in showdowns because I can’t work the count and often hitting with two strikes. I have felt that I am on a SDS naughty list and they are making the game more difficult for me.
Yes I know that last thought is irrational.

Look i almost never complain.
With that said can we please do something about the cpu pitching it is almost unplayable at this point against the cpu, every single pitch is a ball (if you don't swing) and i don't mean missing by a few inches you can hear it bouncing off the catchers mit, it's to the backstop, i just want to hit.
I don't even care that good good contact is double play bait but the pitching is driving me crazy.
I mean maybe it's just me the last 2 days but I don't want to sit here playing conquest and watching a pitcher throw ball after ball.
It use to be, and it seems like it still is from what you’re describing, that the CPU would learn your tendencies and pitch to them. This was something you could see in the old days before online took over the game in your profile. They must have retained it but we unfortunately can’t see the chart.

I don't know the mode or the difficulty but that has not been the case in my experience and I only play vs the cpu.
It's veteran for me, prehaps i should try on a higher mode then like All Star. Or maybe i'm pressing the last few days.
I play a lot of CQ and Mini Seasons, and I'm getting walked 2-3 times a game. I would say in the past, I averaged less than 1. I'm a free swinger, but these pitches are way out of the zone. I play my offline games on All Star.
