I can deal with the hitting. The fielding is horrendous though and that will be a huge disappointment if it’s not cleaned up. Beyond just the OFers not locking on.

I lost a game a few nights ago up 1 in the 9th with 2 outs and the bases loaded. He pops up to the pitcher who not only refuses to lock on, doesn’t catch it and it then keeps bouncing so high that two runs score. I was so mad and laughing hysterically at the same time.

I lost a 14 inning ranked season game the other night because eddie mathews in his secondary position in left field decided to turn his back to the ball when i had him facing the routine fly most frustrating thing ever

How I love a grounder to a diamond fielder bobbled, throw to first bobbled as well.
.safe. next pitch catcher mishandled, a single follows then two outs later a fly to left and fielder leaps to early...
Two runs scored.....tied game. Such bs. I saw atleaat half the time a second error immediately follows or is in the same inning as the first -

It’s April though, I’m sure there are more patches coming out. They usually stop with patches around September or October.

Quash had one where his opponent popped up a foul and Helton ran over to get it and then ran away scared as it was about to drop. What is up with that??

I can deal with the hitting aspect but if the pitching doesn't change, I simply can't play this game. I am not going to play a game where I can't do anything but chuck pitches down the middle.

Maybe that is why your hitting is good? Your opponent can only "chuck pitches down the middle" if you are correct.

3 weeks since they touched hitting so its prety safe to say they arent going to make any changes.

I agree there are several areas that need to be addressed and that it is early on in the game itself. So, there is time overall to make these adjustments. However, it cracks me up to always see people reply with the same quote “that’s real baseball” or “that happens is real baseball all the time”. It’s funny because these same people who say this are ok with and use quick pitching in online play. That doesn’t happen in real baseball lol.

I’m just playing CPU games, and even I’m shocked how bad the fielding has remained. I’d say at least 5 times per game some uncontrollable lock problem, glitch at the wall, or wrong defensive player selected glitch happens. Honestly though, the most annoying thing to me is how absolutely atrocious the baserunning IQ is this year. It’s never been great in the game, but this year it’s truly terrible. I still love the game, but it’s gonna need some significant patches soon to keep me playing.

Maybe that is why your hitting is good? Your opponent can only "chuck pitches down the middle" if you are correct.
Actually, my hitting is lower (just a little) than any other Show game ever. Most likely due to the fact that most of my games have been HOF in the event.
When I said that I meant I could deal with the good/okay's. They are irritating but nothing compared to the pitching. The pitching is a game breaker.

Believe me they patch all year....what op is saying is last year it got to a point they stopped patching hitting and were patching qol/ animation bugs and our favorite
The patch to advertise next years games in all the stadiums

The last gameplay patch is usually in June or July, after that it's mostly bugs or ui changes.
