The fact that I get more hits on non squared poor timed swings than I do on Perfects, or good timed squard up PCI is so infuriating.. The fact that it feels like every CPU player has 99 fielding and 99 reaction is also pretty infuriating. The SDS programmers are hot garbage and have made this game so unrewarding to play. Literally zero point squaring up anything when its going to be an out 90% of the time.

What mode are you playing? I like BR because of the various lineups people use and obviously you don’t see 99s at every position.

I think hitting is atrocious this year. I have so many perfect perfect fly outs, 3 hopper double plays, and even a few pop outs to infielders/catcher it is incredibly frustrating. I play franchise and it’s just bad. I can’t believe how poor hitting this year is compared to last year.

So whenever you hit the ball, it should go where you want it to? Not to a fielder? Ever watch real baseball? Sometimes the ball is crushed and still an out. Sometimes players get bloop hits or slow roll singles.

That's what makes the game great, IMHO.

Try lightening up a bit, just have some fun.

    1. I watch baseball a lot so yes I know how real baseball works and that it’s not going to be perfect every time.

    2. I’m not expecting every good or perfect contact to result in the ball going where I want and I expect that outs will happen. The frequency at which thing happen is the issue.

    3. I compared the hitting to last years game. This year seems more dead offensively than last year and poor outcomes are happening at a much higher rate.

    4. I enjoy this game to much and play for fun. The exact reason I play franchise is to have fun without having to deal with all of the online try hards. I can have an opinion just like you so don’t tell me to lighten up when you are the extra king me for my opinion.

In this years version of the game you need to be very selective on your pitches.

If the ball is out of the zone or on the black you will not make good contact. This game more then others I’ve walked a ton with this approach and started making much better contact.

If you get a perfect perfect on a pitch on any of the corners the result won’t be what you want. You have a better shot at getting hits late or early but right down the middle. Which is more realistic then in the past.

Just be very selective prior to having 2 strikes only swing at balls you know you can crush. It helps but also doesn’t negate the super outfielders the ai has on higher levels
