Feeling excited to feeling overwhelmed

Anyone else get excited for the new content and then after you see what you have to do to complete it; that feeling of excitement changes to feeling overwhelmed?
Don't get me wrong; I'm glad we have stuff to grind and I don't expect to be handed cards.
But it just feels weird that all of a sudden I'm, for lack of a better word, dreading doing all this Moments and Missions with TN and POTM cards instead of using my main squad.
Granted, having a content specific Event helps; but chances are once this content is completed; we'll go back to feeling depressed that there is no new content.
Again, not complaining, just mentioning the highs and lows of playing this game.

That has been my complaint about the PxP missions for the last few years. I spend more time not playing the cards that I want to use because there is always a PXP grind for players I don't really care much about. Last year, I just stopped doing the POTM programs.
I guess for me, the plus side to The Cardinals being so bad thus far this year is that they did not have a single representative in either the Topps Now or POTM so I won't feel compelled to do any of it if I get burned out.
I'll do the moments though, unlike many I like those for short bursts.

Probably, if his price is reasonable. I assume it will be. I don't play online so I am not chasing event wins.
But stubs are hard to come by. I still don't have the cardinals collection or the Wainwright 99 card.
