Pitcher control attributes

Can someone please explain how these work?
I use pulse for pitching. I know, I know. I am visually impaired and between that and my age my reaction times make the other options too difficult for me to be somewhat effective.
However, I am struggling to understand how this attribute works. For example let’s take WBC Darvish and Charisma Gibson. Gibson has 92 ctrl ovr and Darvish 94 ovr. Gibson has 4FSB 99 ctrl and Darvish has 97 4FSB ctrl. Yet, Darvish is so much more accurate than Gibson. The area and speed of the Pulse on Gibson are so much wider/faster than Darvish.
This makes Gibson such a waste. In my case I cannot use him because he is so inaccurate despise having 92 ctrl ovr.
Perhaps, there is something else other than the control attribute (I know there is pitch location, but even dead center is bad) that influences this that I am not understanding (and if there is, why bother with a control attribute at all).

The BB/9 has some effect on it. I didn’t check, but does Darvish have higher BB/9 attribute?
-
Yep. Gibson has 99 BB/9. Darvish has 112 BB/9.

Don't forget to factor in the hitters plate discipline, it affects borderline pitches.

I don't play anything Diamond Dynasty but,...
The one of the biggest complaints I have about this game, at fundamental level, is that the MLB THE SHOW doesn't allow players to fully play towards their attributes consistently.
I experimenting between CASUAL, SIMULATION, AND COMPETITIVE to see what those nuanced differences are -
I may have it backwards, but control is size of the PAR (perfect accuracy region) and BB/9 is how far the pitch will land inside or outside of the PAR I believe.

I hope someone’s post helped. I don’t have Darvish yet, but I usually like his cards.

It all was pretty informative I didn’t know that BB/9 had an effect on accuracy of the pitch. However, I do not understand why SDS would include an attribute such as control. Just because of the fact that having more control does not really translate into having “more control”.
