I had something similar in an event game last weekend. It was scoreless and with 2 out in the second inning I hit a home run, and something in this guy snapped. He just threw every pitch down the middle and the only times I made outs were when I hit the ball right at a player.

Then after I finally got three outs and probably about 30 runs I strike out the first two batters and he didn't even swing on pitches that were in the zone, then he suddenly quit. I think he was expecting me to return the favor and help him get stuff towards programs/prestige (playing 2020 version). I thought it was odd that he was still trying to win, then as soon as I scored a run he did this.

it's possible that he just wanted out of the game and had completed whatever he needed to complete but that doesn't sound odd so yeah I'm not sure what he was thinking.

Same has happened to me. After I hit a couple HR's a guy just threw everything down the middle until I scored 12 and then he quit. I did something similar last night. I only needed 20xp to finish BR to get Griffey, so after I got my AB's I just let the guy score a bunch. I'm surprised no one has messaged me yet asking to help get XP in BR yet. Every BR season last year I had several that would ask.

Yes that’s correct. That’s usually when I go weld something in the garage for a while.

Same has happened to me. After I hit a couple HR's a guy just threw everything down the middle until I scored 12 and then he quit. I did something similar last night. I used to get asked regularly in just about every mode. Going back as far as 16', I remember messages, "I just need 1HR to finish so and so. Give it to me and you can have the win."
Between those types of messages and the ones from overgrown children wanting to gloat about winning a video game, I finally turned messaging off to all but friends.

Considering you won't get the credit for the stat unless your first 8 batters have an AB; it's hard to do a 'hit and quit' scenario.

I got the XP credit even though I had less than 3 AB's. Maybe that's an offline thing?

Most of the time I have messages off just because people like to be trolls after they win. After I finished the LS collection I lost the first game I had Jeter on the team. Of course I got a message about "How do you have Jeter when you suck?". IDK why people feel the need to do that. Major small D energy.

Did you quit or did your opponent quit? If your opponent quits the game, before the have 8 ABs, you get credit for your ABs and they don't get credit for their ABs.

Whomever quits the game has to have at least 8ABs.

They (SDS) implemented that because people were 'hitting and quitting' vs the CPU to PXP someone faster.

I quit after he got some runs. I had 5 AB's I think.

I think the 8 ABs is for PXP and not XP.

Honestly…If they were needing inning requirements for something then that’s the way to do it. If you get up on people, They quit…So this sounds like a good way to get your innings in.
