SDS please patch the basestopping
-
Basestopping = baserunning but the baserunner turns into a basestopper by just standing there between bases (usually between 1st and 2nd). Happening about once a game on average.
Can we all agree to abolish basestopping once and for all?

This is a control by hitting R2 just run at the opponent and tag them out

Cboy is right, if you’re talking online, your opponent is controlling the runners and it’s definitely a tactic to cheese way to an extra base. Seen a YouTube guy very high on himself for being able to take a guy from first to home while the batter ends up at 2nd or 3rd by doing some of that.
If it’s an offline thing then likely a bug/issue worth submitting a ticket on (I’ve not had this yet, so assuming you’re talking online play)

This would be great if the game always allowed you to run at a baserunner like you should be able to. Can’t tell you how many times I have stepped off the mound in this game for it to not let me run at a baseunner. Then by the time I throw instead, they have the bag. Same thing happens at times with fielders.

They also won't put in the 9-3 putout. It's extremely annoying.
I had two opportunities, but the first baseman doesn't care and plays off the bag. One time, the throw was in time. -

Ok 2014 is wrong but they are still more rare than immaculate innings, cycles, no hitters, and aren't that far off from 4HR games and Perfect games

Have you tried stepping off, throwing to 2nd and using the infielder to run the runner back?

I appreciate the suggestion, but you should still be able to run at a baserunner with a pitcher. Also, this solution doesn’t always generate an out. A runner getting too big of a lead or leaving early should almost always generate an out if the defensive player handles it properly.

No prob. I totally agree. The video game SHOULD play like how the real game IS played.
