Wind is just something else that some cheeser will use as an exploit. Thanks, but no thanks. Online is already way too toxic and I see no reason to make even worse.

Telling people playing competitively online that "wind is the most important factor to a baseball game" is suicidally stupid.
Whether YOU like it or not, this is a baseball VIDEO GAME whose COMPETITIVE ASPECT promises that STICK SKILLS REIGN SUPREME. We all know that's not entirely true, but any rng elements that fail to reward skill should be removed from competitive play in DD.
It's baseball. But it's a video game, not real life. It's not really that difficult to understand. Go play OOTP if you want a true sim experience that places wind on its appropriate pedestal.

Those 2 comments are ridiculous and what's wrong with online today that kind of thinking. Regardless where you play the game we all pay the same price it shouldn't matter where I play the game all the settings/options should be a CHOICE.

I was referring to competitive online. I don't know if wind has been disabled in, say, franchise, RTTS, Miniseasons, Conquest, etc. If so, I understand the OP. If he thinks wind should exist in competitive modes, no [censored] way. And it will never happen.

Give us loyal and true baseball fan the BEST GAME EVER. Like let us decide to have wind on or off. Custom league change number of games to 13 instead of 7. Put a way we can bring up putcher analysis without pausing game. I just want best experience that I can playing baseball

It’s cute that they think the game is player vs player and the only thing outside their control was wind. Ballpark factors matter as well even in real stadiums but I don’t expect much thinking from people in this forum. I know wind wasn’t a factor until a couple years ago when SDS was forced to make the game outside Sony so I have my theory on who complained the most.

Since we can't go back on the patch notes on the show website, here's a youtube video go to 0:46 time hack and you will see it listed in the middle of the screen where his mouse cursor is located.
Here's a link to an article that is not a video. The wind was turned off for online H2H games in late May last year.

Wind literally made the game unplayable thats why they removed it. Imagine perfect perfect flyouts to mid outfield all game and 1-0 score due to a bs late hit because thats what it was when it was on. They removed it for the better.
