- I had 8 good/squared up hits with velos of 100+ all we're for outs
- I had 2 that were perfect/perfect velos of over 100 1 was a liner the other a perfect grounder both were outs.
- 1 good/ok that went out for a HR and 1 early/okay went out for a HR
- The LF has 60 fielding and 62 reaction but made ESPN top 10 on the perfect liner and the SS made ESPN on a perfect grounder ranging to his left on a guy with 64 speed dove got the ball threw from deep in the hole on the grass and gunned down said runner with 49 arm strength from his knees Semien I believe was the SS.
- How on God's green earth does this formula work?You guys say it's real baseball at times yes with certain players absolutely no complaints but when you need that 1 run with 3 outs to go and these things snowball on you in that amount of time there is no possible way it happens like that none.
- You that do this easy and are good at the game can defend it all you want it's horse [censored] you know it and SDS knows it and no one can tell me different it's gimme your stubs and money but this [censored] is set up.
- I'm not great I wouldn't even consider myself good but on veteran lvl with a decent line-up against Liem Hendricks who throws 97 and I'm patient I shouldn't be failing where is the reward for the good/goods and the perfect/perfects?? You reward for bad swings and timing and penalize for perfect half [censored] backwards if u ask me..

I’ve beat like 40 showdowns. Sure they are a challenge, but haven’t been off for me.

Each time you beat then how many team affinity points do you get? I am at 20 with Yankees so thinking of doing to get Torres.

Each time you beat a division in showdown you get five tickets. Each ticket is 4 points for a total of 20 points to be used for Team affinities

You get 20 affinity points. That Torres card is a beast btw.

u need 50 so 5 vouchers =4 points that's a total of 20 so do it twice

I've noticed showdown seems to not mirror other modes, and not even CLOSE to real life baseball. Even on rookie/veteran you can get that RNG in a challenge where you'll get dotted up on the corners and it's very challenging to pass. Defenders make incredible plays, and a lot of good/perfect timed balls end up as extremely easy outs. I've noticed the snowball effect as well, and my current strategy (yes, still trying to beat 1st inning showdown) is to try and get the first runner on by any means possible. It just feels like the game rewards you more consistently with runners on for whatever reason.
Either way, Showdown feels scripted/broken. I would recommend either making the difficulty a bit harder and removing whatever back-end script/roll to keep things feeling fair, or just making it like conquest to where it's not hard, but just a longer time sink.
My two cents, may mean nothing to anyone else.

I feel ya. I am 1-3 against the AL East, 2-3 vs the AL Central and 0-6 vs the AL West. Ohtani has my number and the one time I skipped him, I ended up 2 runs short. I've given up for now and played MtO. Finished the Padres with that and now I'm debating between the Rangers and A's.

I’ve been grinding these and been having a relatively easy time beating every final boss. Started working to get Soto today and Degrom was dotting every pitch. Made a lot of hard contact but literally did not have a hit with 9 outs to go and came back and beat him. Scored 10 runs and had 5 outs left. The game rewards you eventually. Never stop working the count.

I have enough stubs to complete the whole AL for Biggio , you think if I did most of the team Affinities I would be able to complete most of the NL for Sheffield ? How many have u completed and did u get that far by not spending any $ just grinding ? -

Noticed something too. Hitters in challenges where you have to strike out a certain amount are far better than ones that have nothing to do with pitching

YesI have enough stubs already for Biggio u think I could finish it up for Mantle by just grinding Team affinity?
