friend advice - wait on pitches - let them pitch hard to you - don't swing until 2nd strike - don't be a hero - wait for good pitches - i hope this helps you
also - use ONLY perks which have exit velocity - the more generic the exit velocity option the better - never pick the "when you're down after the 7th" - useless perk you know use your head when picking but only ever focus on exit velo
i did all missions perfectly on the showdown and i believe it was like 11 or 12 runs leading to win at 14. no stress if you are patient mate

I use small ball. Get fast players and drag bunt and steal second. Then drag bunt and steal second. Runners second and third no outs.

Clear for takeoff and hero time are the only usable perks, try to stack as many as you can of those two.

....actually that "7th inning or later" perk is one of the best perks for these types of showdowns. It stays activated no matter what on every battle. The only time the hero perk is useless, is in Showdown moments... which we haven't seen yet this year. All the TA, WBC Showdowns are all battles.

The only issue I had was with Darvish. First batter double play both times but otherwise, it wasn’t too bad. Dovall at the end was surprisingly easy.

But these two Perks only apply to those 2 situations so they're only active if you're in a two strike count or ahead in the count...so both can't be active at the same time...Hero Time is active constantly. Rally Time is the next best but it becomes inactive if you tie the game up.

I just absolutely do not want to do conquest. But it seems like I will have to in order to complete this program. I never understood conquest I guess..

I just absolutely do not want to do conquest. But it seems like I will have to in order to complete this program. I never understood conquest I guess..
i completely am with you - i also HATE offline play - for me it is a huge waste of my real life time - i hate grinding for cards - i am not a child and even if i was younger - how many more useful things i could learn in my life than grind for fictitious cards !
