Theme team Phillies captain choices and

Love the concept and understand JT being captain but why cliff lee over Nola or Wheeler?
Also JT is not a core card so unless I wildcard him he's gonzo. Just odd to me that live playing captains are not core? Plus you have to pxp them to get tier 2 and 3.
I was pretty excited about this but in reality it's just not enough boost to compete with online . Maybe on the hitting side you can be close but not on pitching. I have some real scrubs here that there is not enough boost to give.
I need more old school Phillies cards then it would work.

I think you are right about them adding new captains each set. I think here in a couple months the captain boosts will be enough to where you are going to see full on theme teams online.

Never thought about that but 2 new captains for each team every season would be fun

I mean they almost have to right? At least every other set. Otherwise you couldnmt have a phillies team theme boost at all for season 3 without burning your wildcard slot

Yea as it is right now you cant compete with a cubs theme team online ranked really vs best ovr squads. Hopefully, and i assume it will be the case, more team cards will be released here soon

They don't have to release 2. My guess is 1
The Team captain from Team Affinity is part of set 1 and will need to be replaced by a new card. The Team captain from the Team Collection is Core and is valid all year. They could replace them but you can't really do a team collection a second time.

Lee cause of 2009, Wheeler or Nola might be captain in later set or saving for asg
