Program Stars

Simple question. What are they?
I did a search and all I see are posts about issues getting them from certain programs in MLB 20 but I can't find any info for MLB 23 on what they are, where you find them, how to use them or anything.

Program stars are given in place of program xp for “other programs”. The main program is xp driven but if you go to the other programs tab, Starter program and WBC program, you get stars for finishing moments, missions, conquest maps and showdowns for those programs. Each program will have their own set of moments and missions to get stars to complete the program.

This is not what I'm talking about. I am talking about the "program stars" that you get when doing dynamic challenges in RTTS. I see nothing anywhere about it.

Guess maybe if I looked where it was posted I’d give you better info.

It's similar to TA or WBC points. You earn them to get the perk and equipment packs and to level up your ballplayer. The challenge ones are in addition to the ones you get for stat rewards.
Look at your ball player and scroll down to Skill Set under Playstyle, the select See Tasks and Rewards

RTTS has it's own program, which as you advance allows you to upgrade to silver, gold and then diamond archetypes. It takes 100 points to advance. You get a small amount of points for achieving goals (so many at bats or hits, etc)
The dynamic challenge rewards are bonus points to advance you quicker.
You can see the program layout on one of the ballplayer screens. I forget which one but it is the third of three button all in a row. I think it says something like Goals on the button

On the ballplayer screen, "Skill Set" bottom right "See Tasks and Rewards"
As has been said, the system uses a variant of the "program" technique - you have "repeatable" tasks that award (typically) 3 stars per completion (for example, my current 2 way SP/1B gets 3 "stars" for every 9 IP, 16Ks, 30 Plate App. 35 putouts, 35 assists, 12 hits, 10 XBH, 7SB. He also got 10 stars each time after racking 5 hits and 5 Ks.

Thank you very much. This is the explanation I was looking for an it all makes sense now. I knew about the Tasks and Rewards section but didn't make the connection with the "program stars". Thanks

All of these explanations aside, it does not work. I have completed numerous challenges that say 3 program points and don't get any advance.

I have 82 program stars in the topps now but only giving me credit for 78 how do i fix that?
