Encouraging team build and theme teams is huge to me personally, I can understand wanting to always use your favorite cards but I think challenging the player base can be positive.

I am worried that certain card series will become obsolete like Rookie more then they already are.

TA coming back is cool but it needs to be Team Affinity not Divsion Affinity like in 21
Overall my interest has peak for 23, I had felt burnt out after 22 but this refreshing new direction could help alot.

I feel the same tbh. I'm not sure how I feel about sets and seasons and 99s on day 1 just yet but everything after that intrigues me for sure. I'm very happy the Co-op isn't getting different card rewards as I have absolutely no interest in that mode. TA coming back could be good if it's like MLB 20 and not 21. I'm very excited in captains, but I'm not exactly sure if they will keep their word on needing certain captains of they are overused. I was very burnt out on 22 but we will see how it goes

Tbh if I were to guess, the Captain cards are going to be the team affinity rewards

The team captains (like Cabrera in the stream) are the TA Rewards and the "era" captains (like Mays) are available via the SE Captains Pack and sprinkled thoroughout Conquest, the Starter Programs, etc.

Yeah I think @SaveFarris_PSN could be onto something with the captains pack that seem to be were that's headed. I get wanting to get the captains cards out quick however the idea of TA being division would be bad seeing as the reason it was removed was because of how the division version was designed
There is alot of questions left to be answered and I think they are on to something here and I am one to embrace these changes so the more I think about this the more I am getting excited because of the whole sale changes.
The reason I feel in love with Dd was cause 16 to 17 to 18 to 19 all felt fresh and different 20 through 22 was basicly the same.
The idea some 99 will get a chance to shine this year and other that deserve a 99 don't get left out will be awesome.

As long as the captains are balanced, it's the best change they have ever made. I love the idea. However I'm not certain yet they will be balanced. The Tigers, Brewers, Rangers, Royals, Rays Captains just straight up need to have bigger boosts then the Yankees and Dodgers captains do

Also like the card series captains which will also be fun for theme teams.
There is alot trending in the positive direction so it will be interesting to see how it all works in a months time. Definitely has my interest peak more now

Tbh if I were to guess, the Captain cards are going to be the team affinity rewards
Unless it was just used as an example; wasn't the Miggy card they showed that had a Captain column his LS card?
Either they're going to assign certain cards a Captain column (like Quirks) or you'll have to option to pick someone and assign it to them.
If they decide which cards will be labeled as Captain cards, that will put a premium on those cards, especially LS ones.

- As for Team Captains; here's hoping that, other than what's in the Captain packs, you can manually assign a player as a captain and it's not decided by SDS.
