DD Takeaways from Today's Video...
-
Couple of things I took away from today's video:
- Core Players= LS players. Watching it back the LS cards had 'core' on them
- Set 1= Flashback Player or 'Captain' - The 92 Aaron Judge
- Looks like June 30th will be the drop date for all 'Set 1' players (They showed the upcoming graphic for the Seasons and 'Set 1' was grayed out under Season 3).
- It seems as though "Core" players are going to be allowed throughout the seasons, as they are the LS cards
My main question will be how the big collections and programs (Monthly Awards, inning programs) will fit into this. (I.e. If Jeter is the first big collection reward but is given the 'Set 1' mark, then he's only going to be allowed to be used until June 30th). I think they're to have to be careful with which cards they give the 'Set' tag because we know they won't be usable at some point.
My first thought is that the big rewards will be given 'core' tags (Main collection, main program rewards, BR rewards, etc.), that way they can be used all year.
But I guess we will see on the Stream in a few days...I find it weird it's not the afternoon of early access this year though.

they could have 2 diamond dynasty videos. maybe like a countdown tournament on the 23rd if there are live series rewards etc.
but nothing about today was good but i'll give them the benefit of doubt for Thursday but idk who's idea it was to have 99s and who asked for it? besides 12 year old trolls, nobody

0:57 of the video, there's text at the bottom:
"The Core set includes Live Series Players, Negro Leagues Storyline Rewards, Live Series Collection Rewards, and a few more."
-
@SaveFarris_PSN I missed that. That's good news for the 'Core' set
Nice catch

The 99 thing is very interesting and I'm curious to see how that is tied into DD. My favorite part of DD is the first few months of ranked and using different LS cards before the real heavy cards start to drop. So, we'll see how that gets worked in on Thursday

Few more being imo Monthly Awards/TN, big collection rewards, 2023 Allstars etc. most likely

You can still use the Set 1 cards in other parts of DD, you just won't be able to use them in that specific part of DD like whenever the next Set comes out or the Set after depending on when that Set expires but you'll most likely still be able to use them in Ranked or Events or draft them in BR... that's my take but we'll know for sure on Thursday.
