It sounds like once again, the new game will be basically the same as the old game. Personally, I’d like more than a slight change to the pci and outfielders who don’t defend well. Like, I dunno, maybe a new hitting engine? This game has been essentially the same for years now. I guess enough people are good with that.
I thought the fielding change was rather significant. Moving the throwing meter depending on how well the ball is fielded and how good of a fielder it is, and the throwing meter accuracy making it tougher for fielders to throw the ball in instead of making perfect throws all the time. Fielding and baserunning were way more flawed than hitting. Of course I bet baserunning wont get any big changes.

I just watched the stream, I like everything they did. If it translates well to the game then this will br a good year. Outer pci being cut 50% is the biggest FU to contact swingers, no more blooping pitchers to death with bad timing… fielding changes are good too, let’s see how many of you will put Frank Thomas out there

I think the new throwing meter will be an error fest. They said they watched the top players on Twitch and thought throwing was too easy. Throwing to a base or cut off man isn't that difficult in the first place. Why we making changes based on the best players?
The new stat cast thing is just a new way to hold someone hand online. You no longer have to pay attention to what your opponent is throwing if you can just pull that thing up to see what he's throwing to make you chase pitches.
We'll see...
I'm not even remotely at the level of top players and I could do the throwing meter green every single time in my sleep. It needed a change
Throwing the ball isn't hard and it shouldn't be.
Of all the things wrong with this game NOBODY has said fix throwing......

This change looks like it shouldn’t effect the throws that should be easy. They said (and this is if it works correctly) that the bar will move for the harder throws on tough plays and long throws. The word throwing may not have specifically been used in the past but there have been plenty of complaints about how fielding attributes don’t matter and this should hopefully help with that.

I have already made my decision. Just say no to the show.

Pretty much this. They were also using low fielding/low accuracy players in their demos highlighting the changes to fielding and throwing. Its basically to make people cautious about throwing that guy with the 78 fielding in your lineup because he has good offensive numbers.
People are actually gonna have to think about whats more important in their lineup this year : power or defense

It’s literally not a cut and paste
Hitting is different(more difficult), fielding is different, there’s ranked co-op now, official 2 way players, no shift, universal DH
Negro league content and players
And we still haven’t seen the diamond dynasty stream yet
So if all those things are different, how is it copy pasta?

The outfiled might play bigger, but if 50% of hard hit balls are RIGHT AT A FIELDER, it won't matter that much...

Absolutely.... That is why I already started to play 22 again. Just to remind myself 22 isn't as bad as what is about to come.

playing the tech test and the gameplay is 10000000x better. like they listened to the feedback. this is gonna be great for franchise players too

After watching their gameplay feature stream, I have to give credit to SDS for listening to the community and making (what seem like) some great changes.
I was very vocal about my displeasure with the game before taking a hiatus. I’m happy with the changes they’re implementing and I’ll definitely play the tech test.
Kudos SDS, props to you, looking forward to how 23 plays.
I mean to be fair it’s their job, and very few issues were a only in 22 issue

for some reason in the pause menu in diamond dynasty on cocop the pause menu time ran out and i was wrong to the highest place in the stadium and it was a out.and i got addicted from the game
