He did not name it an exploit. He called it a cheese fest

    Which is the same thing.

Not necessarily. People consider bunt dancing cheesing but it is not cheating.

The original poster did not specify what was happening exactly so we don't know.

OK. That at least makes sense.

Why can't you block someone so you don't have to be matched up with them again?

I've played the same person 4-5 times in the last 2-3 weeks and EVERY game has been a cheese fest.

Makes me want to stop playing online all together.

Because blocking is a feature of the playstation operating system, not an in game feature to cherry pick opponents.

I don't want them cherry pick opponents. If I match up with someone that doesn't know how to actually play baseball the way it's supposed to be played; I would like the option to not have to match up with them again.

you can see how people could easily cherry pick though with this method

I am not native english speaking, but to me cheesing is bunt dancing, RT/R2-ing … doing annoying things. Using exploits is a total different thing (e.g. intentionally freezing the game). Bunting is close imo, but it was designed to be like this (which is bad 🙂 , but technically no exploit

Sorry, but using an exploit that is almost 100% guaranteed to get a base hit is the textbook definition of cheating.

It is not nearly 100%, imo you are exaggerating to have an argument

So I should just ignore my lying eyes when I watch successful bunt cheese succeed almost non stop, despite using all the known ways to supposedly stop it? Sorry, but either you are and SDS employee or just in denial.

Unfortunately I am no SDS employee (would have been fun). I just think, there is more than either 0 or 100.

First of all: If bunting would work non stop, games would never end. I usually win my games against the bunt cheesers. Do not get me wrong: They annoy me more than they do you, but your case is that they use exploits to win games all the time and this is simply not true. Exaggerating does not make an argument more valid nor does it help fix it.

SDS should do something about bunting, because it is still too powerful. But: We had good bunters in the game in the history of the sport and they should be able to use that skill. On the other hand: Frank Thomas is capable of laying down perfect drag bunts in the game right now, which is very bad. He probably never did it in real life ever, so he should have absolutely no skill doing it in this game.

Maybe you are a better hitter than me, because this week alone I had two losses directly due to bunt cheese, and another that it took me 14 innings because he used the steal home/bunt cheese combo to tie it in the 2nd inning.

I see it a minimum of 4 games a week. I honestly think that when the cheesers get a upper mid level to top tier player they already know it's over and don't bother with it. But because I am a bottom feeder I could not know.

However, when someone who is not a good hitter like I am they think it may be the game breaker for them.

I hope I don't sound argumentative, but I think our skill levels are possibly significantly different, and that's why the top tier hitters can't understand the struggles us bottom feeders face.

@darkblue1876_PSN I am a lifetime-2021+2022 .190-hitter :), never made world series (max. 896) … I played about 800 ranked-games since 2021 and won about 65% of them. Yes, it happens, but it is not a cheat code. 99% of my losses occur due to better hitting (not bunting) from my opponents (which is not difficult 🙂 )

BUT (and this is maybe very important in the discussion): It is very annoying and it is too overpowered (but still no guaranteed cheat code, not in the slightest)
