I disagree with The Show being horrible and the worst. It is actually a great game that provides a solid experience.
BUT, I would agree with the outlier argument. I have not problem making 99 MPH fastballs look like the 102MPH fastball just to keep it more in line with reality.
Also, as much as I think the game has its Pros, there are definite errors and problems that needed to be worked on. For example, the Hitting system is very difficult to really understand. Why is the late side of Good so weak in contact? Why does the ball leave the yard on Very Earlys or No PCI on it at all? These have to be addressed in the next game to truly take it to the next level.
Finally, I think the template and model that they have used needed to be altered or added to in the next game. We have seen the same structure (RS, Battle Royale, Events) the last 4 years. It would be nice to spice things up and change it a little bit in the next model. This is not even counting the fact that most of the cards in the game (not counting the 5-10 new legends they introduce) are carbon copies of the prior year with new card art. It would be great to see something new in that area to break up the monotony. -

Out of curiosity, do you speak of MLBTS 22 specifically or more about the MLBTS franchise in general?

I think you can make that argument for a lot of reasons
The graphics in the game are still amazing, especially noticeable in replays
The modes give options and allow players to find a way to enjoy it that is best for them
Cross Play is still in its beginning stages, but does look promising in the long term (At least between Xbox and PS)
New programs were put in to promote playing online and allowing people an alternative to obtaining the great cards
New Mods like Mini-Seasons were a nice addition that gave a new challenge for people that play offline
Created stadiums were fun (although they do need to do something about max elevation ballparks next year)There is definitely some issues that need to be addressed as I stated above, but it is a nice game that gives players a chance to customize everything about their experience.

Not sure if that was a reply to me. But if it was, that didn't answer my question.

I know you weren’t talking to me but generally speaking I had fun with the Show this year playing mostly offline. Definitely flaws but offline the game is actually fun. I’m sure if I had more time to play online I would have more complaints but overall I would say good not great this year

That's a fair argument, I don't mind how the game plays offline either. It could be better, but not bad. That being said, I do really buy this game for online play. I only play offline for grinding stuff for programs and that sorta thing, so I will always judge this game based on my experiences in online play. And this year is the worst since 2018 in my opinion.

I enjoyed the game much more this year than I did last year. I feel like they cleaned up a few things from last years game. I also switched over to xbox this year and I think it plays much better so that may have helped. I only go back as far as 17 but I think 17 was the most fun for me, then 19 after that. 18 was a mess but I would choose this year over 20 or 21. I do miss some cards that were lost from 2020 though but that doesnt have any bearing on gameplay.

Yep that was the most fun for me. 19 was solid too other than the excessive lineouts.

Couldn't agree more.

This game is hot trash and content can no longer save it. 18 horrible, 19 was fun, 20 was enjoyable until they patched week one hitting. Last year super dotting and pitcher stamina ruined it. 22 is on pace with 18 as the worst game ever. But SDS will continue releasing a bad game until we as the consumers walk away.
