I agree, this should be a free to play game with how bad and technically unimpressive it is. And I'm not kidding or joking or trying to give them [censored], I honestly believe this game should be free to play.

I disagree entirely.
I play DD online and my biggest flaw is my large TV and Slow internet.
When I play vs the CPU on Legend with all aids off it is a purely enjoyable game.
I use meter pitching with no curser or strikezone
I use zone hitting w only onside diamonds.
I like auto fielding and throwing most.
The game runs and is visually stunning.Is it perfect… not close.
It would be better if only made for PS5. Period.
But that makes not nearly enough money.So i am willing to live with the flaws as i enjoy what i have.
I see many of the complaints but just look past to enjoy MLB the show.
Ps…folks were mad that Porsche started making SUV’s.
But SUV sales kept them alive so they could continue making our beloved 911sGive and take. The game would play better as an exclusive but the profits are required to keep it going.

It’s far from perfect, but allow me to make a suggestion: no serious, reasonable, thoughtful human being will ever, ever take you seriously when you lean so recklessly into hyperbolic nonsense. This isn’t Twitter — you have more than 240 characters. Nuance is allowed. Gradations are allowed. In-depth discussion of pros and cons are allowed. If you want anyone to listen to your opinion, don’t make an objectively false and objectively ridiculous statement like “tHiS iS tHe WoRsT gAmE iN tHe HiStOrY oF tHe UniVeRsE!!!” It doesn’t grant you any credibility. This isn’t even the worst version of MLB:TS. Calm your cone and make a reasonable argument.

What's wrong with Madden? I haven't played that game in years and was tempted to buy it, since it's on sale for $30, as I'm probably pretty much done with The Show until 23 comes out. No because I don't like how it plays. Mainly because I have every card available and almost 20 stubs with what I have that's liquid and what's tied up in buy orders.
Plus, I'm about 200K away from the Touch Grass icon and 1,000,000,000 in stubs.

Atleast CP77 turned into a decent and enjoyable game. Sports games come out trash and stay stash. They just try to cover all the leaky holes with shiny new cards and people keep giving them money. These card collecting modes have ruined every sports game, the show was once the exception.
The show Is still enjoyable, but it seems to get less and less so each year.

If Triple Play '98 could get the small crowds for lousy teams right, there's no excuse in 2023! TP '97 even had the individual team jerseys in the ASG!!! Granted, the graphics are laughable today, but they at least got it right.

Offline, I saw some comments from people saying they'd had the same franchise for 5 years and it got deleted.

Cyberpunk had a lot of issues at release, but at least they cleaned it up. And let me tell you, that game is phenomenal. Yes, CDPR deserves criticism for the state the game was released in, BUT (and this is a big BUT) they have cleaned it up. They fixed it. While in the meantime SDS devs never listen to any of the complaints coming from their community, communication is nowhere to be seen and they give up on their game MONTHS before the cycle ends.
