Why does SDS just stop rolling out content?

Luckily, I play other games!
I'm not a hardcore NBA 2K player, but they do endgame stuff as well with the flood of 99's, then shut off to focus on next year's.
I stopped playing Madden in 2019, and don't know what they do for endgame.
I am hardcore in NHL, but it's 98% EASHL, which is online team play. You play as your character. That is one I play all year long.
I also like racing games, adventure games where you play a story as a character. I also love Train Sim World, which I recommend if you love trains.
I held off on doing the USA map until last weekend. Finished it last night. It made me fall in love with the game again. I may do it again. It was fun beating Boston 8 times as they had about 8 strongholds when I got to the East! Almost every game was a blowout at Fenway with all these 99's! I also hope for a new Conquest map or two, but have mentally prepared myself for very little new content here. If we get nothing else new, I had a blast with this.
Maybe you should try NBA 2K career mode. It's a slow process, but you have a practice gym and may enjoy it since it's RPG-ish. Basketball is my 4th favorite out of the big 4, but the 'MyPlayer' career is fun. -

@Ericulous1_PSN you mentioned that the end of the game is geared towards people that just bought it.
Yes, if someone just bought it they have a TON of content to play towards. But they also have to either spend more stubs than someone who's had it all year to get some of the cards. Ex: when we had the Finest program we were able to choose 3 players per division for a total of 18 players. We then had to buy the other 12. Now new players can only choose one player per division for a total of 6 players. They have to buy the other 24. Even at QS that a difference if 180/240K in stubs.
Also look at the set where Takashi Griffey is included. We got to choose 5 players. They get 1. And right now those cards are at/around 150+K
That's a chuck of change.
Also, there are 36 BR Bronze rewards. Unless they change it next program; you get to chose a total of 6 each time you earn 2 packs. If I'm not mistaken you can earn 6 Bronze packs per program. So they will have to wait until the new program to get the other ones. Same with Silver and Gold players plus the Diamonds.
They may have a lot to play for right now; but I'd they want any chance of playing with RS Brett, Cutch, Rollins, or Mantle; they have to do A LOT of grinding mixed in with some spending stubs. I bet it would cost about at least 10M to get where some of us are at now.
Oh I'm not arguing that it's easy for new players, just that there is nothing left for older players to do. My game is done. I totally get that I had way more opportunity to collect everything. I wouldn't care if every card was easy or free for the new people. I'm not competing with them or anyone else. I just want something to do for the next few months. I suppose I could play other games. The thing is, I'm just not really a gamer. I just love baseball.
@TheGoaler_PSN, I do like NBA 2K. I'll try career mode.

I have more than 5 million stubs (some stashed in places) and nothing I want to buy. I’ve been playing for several years. I cant ever remember being in this position. This is absolutely the most stubs I’ve ever had at one point.
Just nothing I feel like buying and don’t want to buy just for the sake of buying. I feel like I should leave cards I don’t want for people who do want them. Feel it’s kind of selfish to just have cards sitting that some people might want/need. I have the best version of every player (minus Seager and Walter Johnson, that I have bids on and probably won’t get). That’s good enough for me. I don’t need awards Pujols when I have the milestone, for example.
And stubs are going to accumulate further as I progress with nothing I want to buy.
So, in my several years playing, this does feel different, a more abrupt end too early.

Ditto. I mentioned something the same in the Free Packs post.
Free is great. But I myself have 5M in stubs along with every card and so many guaranteed diamonds packs in my inventory that if I open them I can't even QS the cards.

If you want to complain that this week's content was light, I don't know what to say: companies think it's a good idea to give their employees time off around the holidays?!?

I'm not arguing that they should work through the holidays, I'm simply saying, it's a bummer that it just ended so abruptly and that there is nothing left to play for. I guess I should have spread it out. That's why I loved team affinity. I was able to make TA 5 last like 2 months last year. At the end of the day its my fault. I should play other games..
Still, I'm all for time off for the holidays and you know I'm usually stoked about the game. I'm just striking up conversation really for lack of anything else to chat about. Heck if they started teasing next year I'd be stoked or if any of the content in the new year had some player cards to play for.
You're right though, overall I enjoyed the game again this year, just sad to see it end.

Someone posted the last programs/cards every year of diamond dynasty and it looks like they have a pattern of going longer one year and shorter the next year. This was the really short year. Hopefully next years game has some major changes during all this off time
-
I want more missions that have you use some of the lesser cards in the game... would have loved to see XP missions for using common, bronze, silver, gold and diamond players... maybe those will be the Week 5 missions for the Forever Featured Program.

The rolled out to my opinion a good this year that there are some people the exploits the glitches like the fielding of the bunts. Mini season was good but the rewards where decent. Co-up was promoted a lot and then nothing happened. Ranked was ranked like always you have to grind and see good players and then see incredible players that hit the ball even if it bounces lol ( sometimes i think they use cronous or something)
I wish there would be more players so lineups and be different. Cool to have Trout and Mantle but there was a point that SP was not even decent and then other cards that were diamonds that nobody want like Elvis Andrus and others. Lets hope we have a better year next year. I wish Negro League players to be add and other players like Flash Backs but don't consider them legends
And please not always having the same card 30 times and if we do a rewind please add new packs like the battle royal ones and others not the same back in every conquest since the start of the game and the same all star pack.

I never did a whole lot of DD, being an offline player. I had tried mini seasons early on, but I never could build a good squad, so I did a lot of franchise, and never bothered to look at the packs.
Decided to look at mini-seasons again the other day and I find tons of 99 cards in my inventory that I have no idea how they got there. Now, every position on my squad is a 99. I'm not sure there's any point to the mini seasons now, except for something to kill time, but I thought it was interesting to just be given a ton of cards. I guess they showed up from playing franchise.
-
Because they have access to the current player count, and not a lot of people are playing this game anymore and haven't in a while. Not worth the time.
-
As a customer it's disappointing to have to purchase games with so little replayability

Yeah franchise gives you xp which then counts towards the featured program. I personally took like a 3 month break from dd from july-late October so recently I've been flipping a ton to buy all the cards I need for mantle and just grinding all the other programs.

You've played the game for over 470 hours. Assuming you spent $70, that comes out to 15 cents per hour. How much "replayability" do you want from an annual sports title?
There is nothing wrong is being bored with the game and moving on. I haven't played in about a month myself, and I'm fine with that. However, arguing that there wasn't enough to do in 22 is pretty absurd.
