I know that some CQ maps have been somewhat aggressive this year. I'm fine with that. But this tree is an ANGRY tree. What do you guys think?

Yeah, it hated me pretty passionately. I'm wondering if it knows how much paper I waste at work.

Glad someone else noticed. It was a bit annoying, but I love Conquest, so the games were fun.

I am glad they are more aggressive, especially this late in the year. You're facing bronze and silver pitchers on veteran, rookie, and maybe All-Star with all 99s.

I would absolutely welcome seeing the actual opponents play better (or have the opponents’ rosters be made of all-time theme teams). But simming is already such a tedious, joyless task. Having the opponents be more aggressive on the map, or seeing your 12-3 simulations end 0-1 in their favor, is just a time-wasting and annoying grind.
I will say that the tree was very festive, nicely designed, and it was very pretty to begin with. But (this is for “The Office” fans only), when I opened the map and saw that every hex was already occupied, I had the same reaction Erin had when Gabe told her she had to complete an entire jigsaw puzzle to get the next clue in the treasure hunt. My emotions just immediately went from “Oh, a conquest map!” to “Are you effing serious?”

Pretty Aggressive … go for Pirates first. Those yellow ones want to battle early.
I lost 20-4 a couple times on this map sheeesh
But get 1 or 2 stronghold quickly and you’re golden

It's so aggressive, if your winning in the 3rd inning it just freezes the game. What a start to the map.

Breezed through it. The Pirates were only aggressive team so attacked them first like everyone mentioned.

I didn’t find The map particularly aggressive, but the “shenanigans “ factor was very high. My all 99 rated team won all but one of the games 1-0 or 2-0. I lost to the astros stronghold twice in a row. In two years of playing DD, that has never happened. All games played on veteran. Lots and lots of good/good 100+ velocity fly balls to center. After a while, you just laugh and take another drink of your “beverage”.

I noticed the same thing. These teams played like the legend versions of themselves.

I can't recall if I lost any games playing this conquest, but I did see how aggressive the Pirates were. I think I tried to conquer as many territories as I could to get a bigger backlog of reinforcements.

It's funny how some of them are really aggressive.

I just finished it... Went for the Padres first then Pirates... I played every games on veteran and I did not have real problems... I had games go in extras innings, yes, but no real opposition... I lost 1 game against the Reds because it would not let me score lol but besides this one occurrence of "yOu ArE nOt WiNnInG" bs this game in infamous for, I tought it was a fairly easy Conquest... I did not got F***ed over on the map.... I guess I was lucky after reading what you guys have been through...

Same, did it 1st try, but lost to Red Sox 1-0 on vet cos the game was forcing me to. Made about 250k off of it in the end i think. Worth it, only took couple hours.

So it sounds like we are dealing with Blackbeard type Pirates and not your average Jack Sparrow here?
