Dropped third strike

Hey so, with two outs and a runner on first, a batter can try for first base on a dropped third strike?

I was under the impression you could only run if first base is unoccupied.

Cpu just did this in franchise mode. I’m assuming this is only ok if the runner is in motion on a full count?

If there is two outs, yes. Less than two outs, no.
