Swing mechanic idea - out in front swings, lower body done but hands still back, off speed pitches

Hey you know how in real baseball

you might read off speed, so you let or even accidentally get your lower half get out in front

But you keep your hands back, as with any non power swing/approach. you're just trying to loop the slow curve or offspeed over the IF's head (usually). or poke it oppo, or through a hole

At least for button press swing controls - like hold LT down and your batter will keep his hands back with obviously reduced power but solid contact is still a hit. it would add another element of skill (kind of) to the simple button / timing controls, which i use. im not an online player so idk how anyone would react or whatever.

would be cool to replicate the sport that way, but idk could break game. ‍️

i read off speed and i only want a base hit - if timings the only thing that counts - you roll it over or whiff.

swing modifiers is all im suggesting, idk if like inside out swing type could exist as well, the out in front hands back is an obvious one to me, pujols did it plenty? or his just sticks out. same with stupid jeter with his let the ball be behind you inside out [censored]. ha.

if I understand what you're saying, my thought is that Directional hitting already does this, more or less. The whole point of it is to be a swing modifier. You just don't have a PCI to control bat placement.
