10 of my last 15 Event opponent's have done some type of exploit or cheat during our games. Kicker is half of them were sporting WS icons.
-
My guess is most dudes with WS icons cheat or exploit in some capacity. Not all but most.
-
They scored more runs than you? That’s not an exploit that’s the point of the game. You’re continually crying makes me giggle.

I find that really hard to believe unless you have a really, really broad definition of exploit and cheats. Which, if I remember from previous posts, is the case.

He does….if he loses people are exploiting cheating.

No offense to you; but arent you a strictly offline player? Unless you play online, and come across these issues, you don't know what I'm talking about. So I'll explain.
If you would come across the following while playing the CPU; let me know how you would feel:
-
R2 Spamming. The CPU holding R2 before EVERY pitch for the duration allows. Before SDS changed it; you could hold R2 for about 4-5 secs MULTIPLE times per pitch. Now it's once. But I'd the person pitching calls time; the batter can hd R2 AGAIN! This still needs remedied. Get rid of it all together or only allow it ONCE PER BATTER. But how would I see what pitch(es) you've thrown? Well, you can see the previous pitch in the Feedback window in the lower left hand corner of the screen. Add ALL pitches thrown.
-
Quick Pitching. When playing the CPU; it usually takes the CPU pitchers about 3-4 second to throw a pitch. Something like this needs implemented online. If my opponent is throwing 4-5 pitches in a matter of a few seconds; they're quick pitching. No need to spam the pitch button like a monkey on crack is holding the controller.
-
Bunt dancing.
-
Taking multiple steps off the base. This is when your opponent thinks it's funny to keep pressing L1 to take an extra step so by the time you step off, or try to throw over, his baserunner is halfway to the next bag.
-
Running back and forth during a steal attempt. If you click the button to steal; you should be locked into that steal attempt.
-
Quick Pausing. This is when your opponent clicks cup and down on the D-Pad to enter the screen where you can enter the screen to warm up your BP. They do this real fast 4-5 times in order to either try to freeze the game or try to get a pitch off real quick when your pitcher comes to bat. This has also been done to try to sneak in a pitch to catch you off guard.
-
Slide stepping when NOBODY is on base. Yes, this can backfire for the pitcher as sometimes it messes up their delivery; but it also causes the pitch to be thrown faster.
Now that's a few things that a majority of the people I played last night did in our games.
Was it every single one for every single game? No.
But it was a combination of 2-3 for more games than not.
Until SDS can find a better way to police their game and get rid of these scenarios then people will complain.
But wait, some will say I'd you don't want to experience this; don't play online. Why should I have to limit myself to only offline play because some people's kids can't stop being @$$holes?
Alot of what I mentioned could be regulated with some programming.
Don't allow a pitch to throw the ball until a 2-3 second window has expired.
Only allow the opportunity to hold R2 ONCE PER AB.
If you attempt a steal; you're locked into that steal.
You can only take two extra steps off a base.
So how about implementing these fixes instead of programming random sounds like birds chirping, gunshots, etc to happen when someone strikes out, steals, hits a homerun, etc.

Nice try. But if someone 'cheats' or tries to 'abuse and exploit, and I win; I'll still call them out.
I don't play to W/L. I play for fun.

See I don't see the vast majority of these as exploits or cheating. A few of them may be, like if they truly try to cause a freeze, but R2, bunt dancing, quick pitching are not.
Annoying? Yes.
Bad sportsmanship? Maybe
Toxic? Possibly
Exploits and cheating? Not reallyI stand by my original premise that you have an overly broad definition of those terms. I also don't think me playing offline changes that fact.

So you're saying that someone abusing the mechanics of the game by holding/clicking L1 four times so they are halfway to the next base isn't an exploit and cheating?
That's like saying years ago when Madden had the exploit where you could move your QB, pre snap, a certain way that they would creep through the OL/DL untouched for that when the person would actually snap the ball the QB would already be 10-15 yds past the line of scrimmage and could just jog down field to score wasn't cheating or an exploit.
I think it happened during a tournament and the community was so outraged that they banned the formation from online play.
This is close to the same thing. People are trying to abuse the game's mechanics to get an advantage.
But to each his own.
If SDS wants to keep allowing people to do this when they play online, and it happens during one of my games, I'll just keep reporting the people.
Eventually SDS will wake up and rectify the situation.

Only real exploit is no. 4 and I rarely see ppl trying it. The other items in the list are just annoying and toxic behavior.
-
Any online competitive game is going to have exploits. The programming will never be perfect. If someone is doing those things and you really are just playing for fun, quite and reroll a new opponent.
I don't think exploits are that bad in this game. If someone's being a douche, I send a message. If their messages are turned off, I r2 spam to send it that way. This often works.
