HELP!

Have played march to October since it was introduced to the franchise. I am a Yankees fan so usually lucky with the yanks being a favorite. I have attempted 50-70 season with the Yankees in the show 22 making all sorts of trades. Seems no matter how well I do no matter what I will not win the World Series. I can get a perfect timing ball and it will just magically drop down for a fly out. I play on dynamic difficulty and my average difficulty is legend. Is there something I am missing/not doing that is preventing me from winning and making the CPU (pitching especially) literally untouchable? Seems that as the games have more meaning the likelihood of even drawing a walk goes down significantly
