Why are calls on the black never accurate?
-
I’ll see my opponent get calls on balls that are more out of the zone than in. Yet I’ll throw a cutter that is on the black perfectly for a ball.

Why are you taking the black, Jon Snow?

Only Snow I know is AL. He had a funny gimmick when he wrestled.

Jon Snow was a character in Game of Thrones. He took an oath to guard a giant wall from northern invaders. In the GoT world, they referred to pledging that oath as “taking the black.”
I have to say, I feel like this was an incredible pun. Taking pitches on the black? Taking the black? Maybe I’m only amusing myself but I really feel like this was a good joke.

I noticed this, but I have also got calls in my favor, eg; when my opponent hit a corner and it was called ball four. I think it has to do with what setting the home player has. I use the setting that the strike zone is treated like a real umpire calling, they are not perfect. You can change it to 100 percent accurate.
Just a guess as to why it happens. Could also be a pitcher vs batter confidence thing too, not sure though, just throwing my thoughts out there because I see it too. -

I agree. It was a funny gig for a while, but he was never going to be more than a mid card performer at best.
