    I haven’t gotten too far through the Back to Old School program, and my next reward is the Eric Davis card. Has anyone used this card? If so, what do you think of it?

    Thanks.

    I liked him when attempting the PXP for his mission. Haven't used him since but had nice pop and speed.

    I think first hit was a homerun; but it was also in Conquest and on Rookie.

    His pci is small, but he has good power, so if you make contact, good things happen, but making good contact happens less frequently than cards with better vision/ contact. It’s a fun challenge to use him bc of his speed/power, but unless you are great with pci placement, I wouldn’t use this card long term

    Weird stance, lousy contact vs righties. Good vs lefties.

    I always struggle with his swing. Every year I want to use him and every year I stink with him.

    @brainfreeze442

    Eric Davis' cards play great for me. In previous years, his rookie card raked in BR and was an automatic take in the silver round.

    He is a legit five tool player at a premium position, he crushes left-handed pitching, is a terror on the base paths, and always plays stellar defense.

    Below HOF, his lower vision and contact vs rhp is a mute point due to the ridiculously large pci on those levels. Once I obtain his 99 card, he will be my starting CF for the rest of the year.
