I was told they intentionally made the gameplay trash and that they could make an awesome game but choose not to.

No, that’s your take from what was told to you. He told you that they are capable of producing something much better and they do not intend to make [censored] gameplay, he also said that it is trash, but they say they are content with the current state of the game and he actually believes them because maybe the only way to fix the issues is with a new hitting engine.

Yeah exactly, and what you just said is “YOUR” take. I disagree with your analysis on what the intent was. If they are capable of producing something better don’t you think they would? Lol How much sense does that make. Of course they don’t intend to make terrible gameplay, I think they are just incapable of making good gameplay because they are not very good at their jobs. That’s why I think the gameplay team needs to be replaced with better and more deserving candidates. Content= Great
