Two things that I’ve never seen in MLBTS22

First, I was doing the NL Showdown. I singled and had a man on first. No one else was on. Juan Soto was up. The CPU intentionally walked him. They walked a batter and in doing so, put a runner INTO scoring position. What kind of baseball logic is that?
Second thing, I was just thrown out at first base from right field in an Event game. I hit a hard, low liner in between first and second. My opponent dove with his second baseman, like we all used to do in order to have the first baseman cover the bag. I thought that little trick was programmed out of the game but apparently not because his right fielder scooped up the ball and threw to first, and his man covered the bag. It was a 9-3 putout.
Now I have to reconsider having guys with sub-60 speed in my lineup…

Maybe they thought you'd steal 2nd and avoid the DP they love us to hit into.
I never played Events, but in Conquest or Showdown, I always have the fastest guys on my bench, even if they're Commons with 20 contact & power -

Happened to me in the al one vs the final boss. Leadoff single with story, 81 speed. First pitch nasty curve for a strike to jrod and then the intentionally walked him after. He was the winning run
