It will probably be next Thursday or Friday

We could be getting a nice Soto and Freeman card. And of course lightning Austin Riley.

July isn't over yet. We know the legend is Biggio but I imagine we won't hear anything till the month is over about the POTM cards.

You can't really believe that Soto would be awarded a card do you?
Freeman is a possibility as long as they don't already have a Signature card planned for the near future. Arenado is a possibility if the card is several points better than his all-star flashback.
I'd say Riley is a runaway winner for lightning in my opinion. Highest WAR (by a good margin), highest WRC+, highest SLG, highest AVG, first in HR, first in runs scored.
Matt Carpenter will probably get a card (he is definitely deserving and he's a Yankee and we know SDS loves their Yankee cards). Sean Murphy and Josh Rojas are in the running and of course any pitchers who did well (I have not followed them).

He's been better than all those guys but he did just get an all star card.

He got 2 all-star cards
Yeah an argument could be made he was better some of the ones I listed. They all have a case if you cherry pick what stats to use . But when it comes to Riley and Carp not even close
WAR
#1. Riley (2.3)
#5. Carpenter (1.4)
#9. Soto (1.2)OFF Runs Above Average
#1. Riley (19.4)
#4. Carpenter (11.8)
#5. Soto (11.3)WRC+
#1. Riley (275)
#2. Carpenter (246)
#4. Soto (224)SLG
#1. Riley (.898)
#2 Carpenter (.803)
#5. Soto (.694)AVG
#1. Riley (.432)
#11. Carpenter (.344)
#13. Soto (.339)I think the only category Soto leads in is OBP.
But this is all a moot point. He has a 97 and a 99 overall card already. He won't get a POTM card, nor will he win the actual POTM.
It will be interesting to see if they include Freeman. They could definitely have a better card for him already in the works.
