Suffering through this BR program as BR is the biggest joke of a competitive H2H mode in this game
Proof? The new Yelich just pulled an outside cutter from Kikuchi, a lefty. The game somehow said, hey, here’s a HR with your 25 contact and 36 power
Just unreal how bad BR is. About to just say [censored] it and buy the BR rewards going forward, just a joke of a mode
Yeah I was thinking that might be the move too but it will cost a ton of stubs. For someone like me who still doesn't have Brett yet I will have to grind this mode for all of the cards along the rewards path. But yes this mode is an RNG dumpster fire that I really don't want any part of but have no choice but to play it.
I can’t bring myself to not take advantage of the program but I always get frustrated playing BR, it’s just inevitable
I honestly wish they had an option where you could choose to play BR on HOF or all star if you’d like.
you choose your difficulty at the beginning of your run and you play on that difficulty until you go flawless or are eliminated
HOF could maybe offer a 10-0 flawless reward path?
Just hard to believe that a mode with probably the hardest achievement (12-0) has the most randomness and BS gameplay associated with it
I’d love to play BR on HOF

What y’all crying about today

I love the the BR system and would say I am more forgiving of the gameplay of BR and Events. RS on the other hand is just too much for me. Playing six innings that go one direction and then all chaos unfolding in the final three is just annoying as can be on my end.

I've been screaming for that as long as I can remember!!! Id play a ton more BR if this was the case. They need to overhaul this entire online experience as a whole. Its kind of stale at this point.

I'm loving BR this year. Probably the most fun mode for me overall so far.
Glad to hear you’re having an enjoyable experience, actually mean that lol
I mean I’ve had some good moments in BR but overall, the gameplay just feels so random…0 consistency

Agree, just blown away by Yelich pulling an outside pitch for a homer with those attributes. Coupled by better swings by players with better attributes for outs. Hard not to point out the BS when it’s that bad

I smoked a high fastball in off the plate without even moving my PCI w/ Ozzie Smith in his first AB. Took about 20 ABs to finally go deep with POTM Yordan.
Hitting is as intended LOL

So many games I’m getting blooped to death and then I hit rockets right at people
Absolute joke how this game rewards bad input at the rate it does while not rewarding good input like it should
Great game. Really fun

Honestly, they might be able to solve a lot of the discontent if they just called it what it is. This baseball game is equal parts skill and slot machine luck. I definitely believe skill is a major factor, otherwise I'd do well online , or be even slightly competitive. Trust me though, from the perspective of a bad player, while the game rewards bad input and helps the underdog to a degree, we still lose 90% of the time.

Agree. In ranked, if you’re good enough and consistent with your input, you have enough time to overcome some bad breaks that go against you
But in 3 inning games? No reason for the ridiculous amount of randomness when it can decide the game for one player.

It really is bad. I mean I’m still going to play and I’ll buy 23 when it comes out cause I love baseball. Last night I did the showdown and won on a 2 run bomb by piazza. But here is the head scratcher, George Brett vs Rollie fingers righty vs lefty, Forkball I was a little low on, but the whole ball was in my PCI and a good swing just slightly before perfect pop up to the catcher, Piazza right vs righty, again forkball little lower on where half the ball was out of the pci again slightly before perfect was a no doubter. Now I don’t have their numbers but it doesn’t make sense. I also had saved up 72 regular packs 18 ballin packs 13 headliners, and 4 of the headliner super packs….0 diamonds. This is what gets me. Not one diamond, not even a park or equipment or jersey nadda.

100% agree with you. I have never once said no skill is involved…there is 100% skill involved but there is a large percentage of randomness mixed in. It comes as a result of clutch, pitcher confidence, BB/9, etc. I think the absolute best of the best not only have insane stick skills, but also know how to manage all the randomness as well. I honestly feel I have gotten better at working around some of these things this year, but I am not the greatest at managing them and I definitely don’t have the stick skills to be great.
This game has caused me to do the unthinkable twice over the past week and that is pull a Tony LaRussa. I have twice intentionally walked hitters with two strikes on them. At least the last time and maybe both times it was 99 Brett. Got two quick strikes and then after about seven straight foul balls I issued the walks. I have played this game long enough to know if I keep trying to put them away it is not going to go in my favor, because at some point there will be a floater over the middle.

Hahahahaha, not the LaRussa. Yeah, there's no doubt the RNG rears it's ugly head in times like that.
